Fun fact, Ian Fleming did this in real life. He got into a card game with a German agent during the war with the bright idea to get him to hand over his money. Ian lost big time, with that context this book feels like the excuse he gave his handler. "No no no, I handed over all of my money to the enemy in a card game because I had a clever plan"
