April Has No Fools

Ahoy! 'Tis I, Captain Talon Ralazar, making landfall to bring you the news of SHARKADIA. Now, I've heard tell of some adventuring sorts who peruse a periodical known as ARRRCADIA, but let me tell you, what's coming this month is no ordinary publication. It's chock full of swashbuckling adventure, advice for traversing the ocean depths, and an extensive encyclopedia of creatures you might find on and beneath the high seas—including a fair few documented by yours truly!

This here proud flag was created by Veronica O'Neill. I've ne'er encountered such a beastie, but it looks near as mighty as old 'Arry—aye, you'll hear my tales of him soon enough.

That's all, me hearties! Ready your spyglasses, cutlasses, and adventuring lads and lasses of all sorts, for SHARKADIA will reach port on the final Wednesday of this very month.

Q: Is this an April Fool's joke?
A: Yes...but is also a real thing we're doing. Because we can. Because sharks.

Q: Is this a joke/silly issue?
A: Well, the title is a shark pun. But this is a regular (albeit themed) issue of ARCADIA with three amazing and highly usable articles by authors you know and love.

Q: Is it still coming out at the end of the month?
A: Aye, as Captain Ralazar said, SHARKCADIA will be released on the last Wednesday of the month (April 26th) as usual. The table of contents, with the articles and their authors, will be revealed the week before (April 19th).

Q: Why sharks?
A: Because.
A: Okay, partly because James wrote a bunch of stuff about sharks for National Geographic's SharkFest, and we thought it'd be fun to use his expertise. But also because sharks.

Q: Will I be eaten by a shark?
A: Sharks don't actually eat people. But sea monster sharks might, so best to keep watch during a long rest. MCDM is not liable for any shark-related incidents that might occur.

Q: Will SHARKADIA be awesome?
A: YES. It's fintastic—for real, though. We've had so much fun with it, and we think you will, too.
