We hit $500!!!! Let's talk about the future.

Hi folks!  Just wanted to put a quick note thanking all of you so much for allowing me to hit that $500 goal on Patreon...that's amazing.  As I said previously, I never thought I'd hit the $100 goal so to reach $500 is fantastic.  Whether you're donating $1, $10 or anything at all, you have helped a great deal in making my YouTube dreams a reality.  Thank you all!

Now, this goal was made originally to help get new equipment for the channel.  In the interest of transparency, your Patreon pledges have helped pay towards the following so far:  

-A new microphone!  A Shure SM57, which has greatly improved the quality of the audio on the channel over the past few months - something that's been a problem with the channel since the beginning.  I also have a nice audio interface for it too (Focusrite iTrack Solo, which helped me to bring back VG Bass videos). 

-I have a really strong PC now - capable of handling just about any game I throw at it, and any editing I throw at it either - an upgrade was desperately needed on that front.  

-New, better monitoring speakers for audio mixing.

-A proper green screen!  I've always wanted one, and it's certainly seen plenty of use already...good thing too, because the damn thing is way too big for my room :).  While I don't usually go on-camera on my videos, I aim to use the green screen for most anything else.  

-Generally, lots of other less flashy but important things:  Better mic stands, light stands and so on - all the stuff that's gradually turned my room into a bedroom-cum-editing suite-cum-game room-cum-studio space...   

I certainly don't intend to stop there...while I'm pretty happy with my 550D for any filming I need to do, there's 2 other things I definitely desire for the channel:  A second monitor for streaming (not expensive), and an XRGB Mini Framemeister (expensive as shit, lol)...at some point, those will come along - the monitor whenever I decide to drag myself to the PC shop to get one, and the XRGB...well, when I feel comfortable with making the splurge.  Finances are, of course, limited - especially seeing as I've already gone full-time :) (that $1,000 goal is sort of out of date...)  - but some day, I hope to get that - game capture makes up 90% of the videos that I do, and I really want it to be the best it can be.   I can almost see a day when I get this stuff and I don't have to worry about upgrading ever again...

Anyway, that's a little fill-in on the ways that your pledges have helped the channel so far, and how it will continue to do so.   Thank you all again!

On another note...we are starting to get the stage where there are SO many names to sing and read out all the time - it takes up almost 3 minutes at the end of each video, and it's only going to become more and more...I certainly still want a way to thank Patrons at the end of each video, but it might also be time to think about some alternative rewards.  I have a few things in mind, but I also want to ask all of you - what do YOU want?  Please leave your suggestions in the comments below! (Please note that suggestions such as, for example, private stripteases over Skype for a dollar pledge may well be laughed at depending on delivery, but are not very likely to happen).
