Do you think the original 48K spectrum could have been successful in the USA if it had been compatible with the games made in the UK? The Speccy was probably the only computer Commodore and Jack Tramiel couldn't undercut. If they made some tweaks for the American market and sold them at our biggest retailers of the time (Kmart, Sears, Target, Wel-Mart) history may have been much different and Sir Clive Sinclair might have made Bill Gates level of money.
