[Marvel : Spoiling Spider-man] Chapter 246 - 250
Added 2025-03-20 01:00:02 +0000 UTCChapter 246: Rhodes Is Seriously Injured
[On the plane, Captain America noticed that Rhodes was still in pursuit, so he immediately pushed the Quinjetâs engines to full power, accelerating at maximum speed to try and shake off Rhodey and Tony.]
[Sam was also flying behind them. Rhodes, noticing him on radar, immediately called out to Vision: "Vision, Iâve got a tail!"]
[At that moment, Sam locked onto Rhodes and fired a missile from his shoulder launcher. The missile split mid-air, releasing several smaller warheads that exploded around Rhodey.]
[The sudden blasts threw Rhodey off balance, making it difficult to stabilize his flight. He urged again, "Vision! Do you read me? Take out his thrusters! Turn him into a hang glider!"]
[Vision, who had been distracted watching Wanda on the ground, finally turned his head and fired a beam of energy at Samâs thrusters.]
[But at that moment, Sam spotted the beam, and in a split-second reaction, he folded his wings and curled into a ball, dropping altitude to evade the attack.]
[However, Rhodey was unintentionally in the direct path of the beam. Before he could react, it passed through his chest, hitting the Arc Reactor at the core of his armor.]
[With his power source completely destroyed, Rhodey's suit shut down instantly. The Iron Patriot armor lost all function, and he began plummeting through the sky in free fall.]
[Darkness surrounded him. The wind roared in his ears as he spun uncontrollably, his altitude dropping rapidly. He was helpless.]
[Tony immediately sensed something was wrong. He stopped pursuing Captain America and Bucky, his heart dropping as he looked down. "Rhodey?"]
[Realizing the danger, he instantly dove downward at full speed. "Rhodey!!!" he shouted desperately.]
[Sam, seeing what had happened, also dived after him.]
[Inside his failing armor, Rhodey struggled to call for help. "Tony⌠I lost power!" His voice was weak, barely audible over the rushing wind.]
[The rapid descent and spinning became too much. Rhodeyâs vision blurred, and soon, he lost consciousness.]
[Tony pushed his suit to the limit, desperately trying to catch up. "Rod!!!" he screamed.]
[But it was too late. Rhodey crashed onto the ground at full velocity, kicking up a massive cloud of dust.]
[Tony and Sam landed seconds later. Tony was the first to rush over, ripping off his helmet as he ran to Rhodeyâs side. He hurriedly removed Rhodeyâs mask, his heart pounding.]
[Rhodeyâs face was bruised, blood trickling from his nose. His body lay motionless.]
[Tony pressed his hand against Rhodeyâs chest. "Vitals?! Read his vitals!" he ordered.]
[Friday responded immediately: "Heartbeat detected. Emergency medical services are on the way."]
[Tony exhaled sharply, momentarily relieved.]
[Sam stood a short distance away, looking at Rhodeyâs unconscious form with regret. "Iâm sorry," he said solemnly.]
[Without a word, Tony fired a repulsor blast at Sam, knocking him off his feet and sending him sprawling onto the ground. Only then did Tony finally look away, focusing entirely on Rhodey.]
[Vision hovered nearby, staring down at Rhodeyâs unconscious body. His face remained expressionless, but something was clearly going through his mind.]
"Oh my God⌠Rhodey! Is he going to be okay?" Coulsonâs voice was filled with concern as he watched the scene unfold.
Natashaâs expression shifted slightly. It was unbelievable that Visionâa being of pure logicâhad miscalculated so disastrously.
Logically speaking, Vision should have been able to predict the trajectory of his own beam attack. Jarvis could have done it. So why did Vision, a more advanced version, fail?
"Damn it!" Tony clenched his fists. "I shouldâve installed a parachute in that suit!"
"Jarvis!" he barked. "Mark this as a priority upgrade. The next time I get back, remind me immediately."
Banner, listening, nodded in agreement. Unlike Tony and Rhodey, he didnât need a parachuteâthe Hulk would always save him from a fall. But for Tony and Rhodey? Precautions were necessary.
Meanwhile, Rhodey himself watched the footage of his own brutal fall with a disgruntled expression.
"Seriously? Iâm the only one who got wrecked in this whole battle?" he complained. "I got hit by a tanker truck, pummeled by Scott, and now shot out of the sky by Vision of all people?!"
Rhodey groaned. "Did the universe just decide I needed to take all the Lâs today?!"
Even Captain America looked tense. This was all because of him.
If Rhodey didnât survive, he would have to live with that guilt forever.
Rhodey, seeing Capâs guilt-ridden expression, sighed. "Relax, Cap. Iâm just messing with you." He waved it off with a tired smile.
"Okay, enough small talk," Tony cut in. "Weâre almost there."
Elsewhere, Wanda and Pietro had yet to volunteer for Baron Struckerâs experiments. They still participated in protests and anti-war movements, unaware of the true power hidden within them.
Baron Strucker, however, had plans. He didnât care about their idealsâhe wanted to study them.
His men were already en route to capture them. But then, new intel arrivedâTony Stark and his team were also heading there.
Strucker was torn. Should he risk it?
His assistant advised against it. Hydra was in full dormancy right now. If they clashed with Tony Stark and his team, it would draw attention and potentially expose their base.
Even worse, if their existence was revealed, Alexander Pierceâanother Hydra leaderâwould throw them under the bus in an instant.
Reluctantly, Strucker backed off. He would let Stark have his moment.
For now.
Back in Wanda and Pietroâs apartment, the two were unaware of the incoming visitors.
That was until they heard screaming from outside. A fighter jet had landed on the street.
Shocked, Wanda and Pietro rushed to the window. Their eyes widened as they saw Tony Stark and Captain America standing outside their door.
There was a knock.
Wanda and Pietro exchanged glances before hesitantly opening it.
Standing there, Tony Stark gave them a small smile.
"Hi," he greeted.
Without hesitation, Wanda slammed the door shut in his face.
Tony blinked.
"Wait⌠What?" he asked, completely baffled.
Captain America sighed, stepping forward. "Let me handle this."
Tony shrugged and stepped aside.
Cap knocked again.
"Wanda, open the door. Itâs meâCaptain America. I think we need to talk."
Chapter 247: The Twinsâ Crossroads
Just as Tony and his team located Wanda and Pietro, another S.H.I.E.L.D. squad tracked down Sam Wilson, the Falcon. Facing the agents who came to find him, Sam had long known this day would come.
Ever since his public appearance on the screen, he had been recognized. He didnât expect S.H.I.E.L.D. to act so efficiently, but he was prepared. With a resigned sigh, he gathered his belongings and got into their car, ready to face whatever came next.
Meanwhile, in a modest home, Wanda and Pietro sat in silence, torn between their emotions. They had spent years longing for vengeance against Tony Stark, blaming him for their parents' deaths. But after watching Tonyâs actions unfold, their perspective began to shift.
It became painfully clearâTony Stark had not directly caused the war that took their family. He had merely manufactured the weapons. The true villains were those who wielded them to incite destruction. Obadiah Stane, for instance, was one of those men.
Upon learning that Tony had halted weapon production the moment he realized its devastating consequences, the twins were forced to reconsider their hatred.
They had also witnessed the bravery and integrity of Captain America and his allies. Pietro, especially, began questioning whether they were truly enemies. Perhaps they shared the same goalâa desire for justice.
Both Wanda and Pietro had always sought justice, hoping for a peaceful world. It was a dream that Captain America and even Stark himself seemed to share.
Yet, for Wanda, it was difficult to let go of years of resentment. Standing face-to-face with the man she had blamed for so long, her heart wavered.
A flood of unfamiliar emotions surged through her, so overwhelming that she instinctively turned away. Panic gripped her as she reached for the door, slamming it shut behind her with a loud bang.
It was as if shutting the door would block out everythingâTony, the painful memories, and the confusion swelling inside her.
Pietro, equally unsettled, tightened his grip around an old, slightly yellowed photograph. His eyes locked onto the familiar faces frozen in time, his mind spiraling back to that fateful day.
The horrors of war resurfaced like a relentless tide, threatening to drown him. And yet, as he watched Tonyâs story unfold through the mysterious screen, he found it harder and harder to place all the blame on him.
Yes, the bomb that had taken their parents bore the Stark name. But hadnât fate played a cruel trick on them as well? Had things been slightly different, the catastrophe might have been even worse. After all, the powerful bomb had never actually detonated.
A firm knock on the door pulled Pietro from his thoughts.
âWanda? Pietro?â Captain Americaâs voice called out.
Pietro hesitated before exhaling sharply and stepping toward the door. He hesitated for only a moment before pulling it open.
Captain America frowned slightly. âWhatâs going on? You took a while to open up.â
Pietro looked at the Captain for a moment before greeting him softly, âCaptain.â He then stepped aside to let them in.
Uncertain of the twinsâ emotions, Captain America cautiously entered, followed by Tony and Clint Barton.
âIf thereâs something on your mind, you can talk to us,â Steve offered sincerely. âI know this is our first meeting, but weâre all here to help.â
Wanda took a sharp breath, her fingers curling at her sides. Her gaze flickered between Tony and Steve before she forced herself to speak.
âNo⌠weâre fine,â she muttered. âItâs just⌠we donât want to see Tony Stark right now.â
Tonyâs eyebrows shot up. âWhat?â He blinked, glancing between them. âOkay, okay, Iâll leave. No problem.â He raised his hands in surrender and took a step toward the door.
âWait,â Pietro suddenly called out.
Wanda turned sharply to look at him, but he met her gaze with unwavering seriousness. âWe canât keep living in the past, Wanda. Itâs only hurting us.â
Tony frowned. A strange uneasiness settled in his gut. Did he somehow cause more harm than he realized?
Pietro turned to Tony, his voice steady but firm. âStark, for years, we wanted nothing more than to tear you apartâto avenge our parents.â
Tony recoiled. âWhoaâwhat?â His hands instinctively moved to his chest, as if expecting to be impaled at any second.
Rhodey immediately tensed, prepared to intervene, while Steve shot Pietro a wary glance.
âRelax,â Pietro said, sighing. âWeâve come to understand some things.â
Steve took the initiative to defuse the tension. âThen tell us,â he urged. âWeâre listening.â
Pietro exhaled and began recounting their past. Wanda stood silently beside him, her expression unreadable.
âWe were ten years old,â Pietro started, his voice carrying the weight of painful memories. âIt was an ordinary dinner. Our parents, Wanda, and Iâjust the four of us.â
âThen the first shell hit,â Wanda whispered, her voice trembling. âIt tore a hole through two floors below us, leaving nothing but a gaping abyss.â
âOur parents fell in,â Pietro continued. âThe house started collapsing. I grabbed Wanda and we rolled under the bed.â
âThen the second shell came,â Wanda murmured. âBut it didnât explode. It landed in the rubble, just one meter away from us.â
She clenched her fists. âAnd on itââ
âWas your name,â Pietro finished grimly. âSTARK.â
A heavy silence filled the room.
Tony swallowed hard.
âWe were trapped there for two days,â Pietro continued, his voice eerily calm. âTwo whole days of pure terror. Every second, we thought this is it. This is when it explodes.â
Wandaâs voice was quiet but sharp. âFor two days, you could have killed us at any moment.â
Tonyâs throat tightened.
âIâm sorry,â he said softly. âI truly am. I never intended for this to happen⌠but that doesnât change what you went through.â
He let out a shaky breath. âI didnât know. I didnât know my weapons would cause you so much pain.â
Wandaâs eyes burned red.
For years, her hatred had fueled her. And now, standing before the man she had blamed for so long, she was lost.
Because he wasnât the monster she had built in her mind.
Everyone stood in silence, unsure of what to say. Even Steve struggled to find words.
Tony stared at the ground. He had spent years making amends for his past, but some wounds would never truly heal.
Wandaâs hands trembled at her sides. The storm of emotions within her was too much.
And then, it happened.
Her power surged.
A crimson glow pulsed around her, flickering like wildfire as her emotions overwhelmed her.
Her true power was awakening.
Chapter 248: Revisiting the First Spider-Manâs Story
After taking a deep breath to calm himself, Tony looked at Wanda and Pietro with sincerity in his eyes.
"I made mistakes," he admitted. "But Iâm doing my best to make up for them. Give me a chance⌠okay?"
Wanda closed her eyes briefly, letting out a slow exhale as the red glow in her pupils faded. When she opened them again, her lips curled slightly.
"Yeah⌠okay, Mr. Savior," she teased.
Tony let out a relieved sigh at her remark. The fact that Wanda could joke with himâeven if sarcasticallyâmeant that her hostility toward him was gradually melting away.
The twins had already been reflecting on their emotions for some time. Watching different versions of Spider-Man in their respective universes, each bearing their own burdens yet choosing to push forward, had deeply moved them.
Seeing how those Spider-Men shouldered responsibility despite their suffering, Wanda and Pietro had come to a realization: their powers were not meant for revenge, but for protecting those who needed them.
Even if their abilities were still weak now, they had the potential to grow stronger.
With that understanding, their resentment toward Tony Stark had slowly faded. If possible, they wanted to join the Avengers and use their strength for the greater good.
Pietro, however, couldn't help but wonder about something.
Although the future broadcasts had shown Wandaâs immense power, he himself had never appeared in those crucial events. Yet, he refused to believe he was just an ordinary person. Something inside him told him that he, too, had an important role to play, even if he hadnât seen it yet.
Captain America studied the twins thoughtfully before speaking.
"It's not safe for you to stay here," Steve said. "You should come with us."
Wanda and Pietro exchanged glances. After a moment of silent agreement, they nodded.
Seeing things resolve so smoothly, the tension in the room lifted.
Clint Barton stepped forward with a friendly smile. "Hey, Wanda."
Wanda tilted her head slightly, looking at him with interest. In the visions of the future, her older self had trusted Barton enough to leave Starkâs custody with him. Because of that, she already had a good impression of him.
"Hello, Clint," she greeted back, her tone light but warm.
Barton chuckled. "Guess weâre already friends in a way."
Before Wanda could respond, another voice chimed in.
"Ah, my nameâs Banner," Bruce introduced himself to Pietro. "I wasnât around during the Civil War in Sky Screen, but Iâm guessing itâs because⌠well, my big guy isnât exactly the easiest to control."
"Big guy?" Pietro raised an eyebrow.
"The Hulk," Banner clarified with a small smile. "Youâve heard of him, right? Big green rage monster?"
Wanda and Pietro both widened their eyes slightly in recognition. They had, of course, heard of the Hulkâbut they hadnât realized that the man standing before them was him.
Realizing that their reaction might seem rude, Wanda quickly spoke up.
"Sorry," she said. "We didnât mean toâ"
Banner waved it off. "Donât worry about it. I get that look all the time," he said with a chuckle. "Just hoping I can figure out how to control him before another war breaks out."
Before the conversation could continue, Rhodey, who had been keeping watch near the window, spoke up.
"We should get moving," he said. "A lot of people are noticing the Quinjet. The longer we stay, the more trouble we might attract."
Tony and the others nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile, another team had successfully located Scott Lang before Tonyâs group arrived.
The moment they met, Scott opened his mouth to introduce himselfâonly to be cut off by Natasha Romanoff.
"No need," she said. "Weâve already done our research on you. And as for us⌠Iâm pretty sure Sky Screenâs done plenty of introductions, donât you think?"
Scott blinked before shrugging. "Yeah, okay. That saves me the trouble."
Coulson, standing nearby, observed Scott with amusement. The man was almost as talkative as Spider-Man. During their trip back, Scott had bombarded Coulson with endless questions.
Only Coulson had the patience to answer some of them.
Back at S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury finally met Wanda, Pietro, and Scott in person. The three expressed interest in joining the Avengers. However, Fury remained cautious.
"This isnât a decision I can make on my own," Fury told them. "Youâll be evaluated first. We donât just let anyone in."
Given their current state, the twins and Scott were still, for all intents and purposes, ordinary people. They had potential, but they werenât quite Avengers material yet. At best, they would be considered reserves.
Just as their conversation was wrapping up, a familiar voice suddenly echoed across the Sky Screen.
[âIt was never an accident that Peter Parker became Spider-Man. It was inevitable! There are no coincidences in fateâs choices. No super spider? It doesnât matter. Any spider will do! As long as there is a vessel, the rest is inconsequential!â]
[âJust as in the universe of the Third Generation Spider-Man, where there was no Osborn Industries and no genetically enhanced spider, yet he was still destined to become Spider-Man. It is a fate as certain as Tony Stark becoming Iron Man.â]
[âAcross the infinite multiverse, every Peter Parker shares one thing in commonâtragedy. Before they gain their powers, they are bullied nobodies. After they gain their powers, they all suffer the loss of the people they love the most.â]
[âThe first-generation Peter Parker was no different. He, too, was once a bullied high school student. Today, letâs take a look back at his pastâhow he was tormented and how he eventually became Spider-ManâŚâ]
A horrified cry echoed in the Sky Screen.
"Oh, NO! Please, donât do this!!!"
First-Gen Spider-Man shouted toward the sky, his face twisted in despair.
Nearby, the first Gwen Stacy watched him curiously.
Her gaze flickered back to the Sky Screen with growing interest. Just what kind of suffering had this Peter Parker endured in high school to make him react like this?
Otto Octavius stared at the screen, stunned for a momentâbefore bursting into laughter.
"Hah! So itâs finally being revealed!" Otto exclaimed, still chuckling. "I remember when I asked him about it, and he insisted it wasnât that bad!"
Gwen, unable to hold back her own amusement, covered her mouth as she giggled.
Across the room, however, one man was significantly less amused.
The first gen Flash Thompson sat stiffly, his expression darkening.
He knew what was about to be shown. His days of bullying Peter Parker in school were about to be exposed for everyone to see. Even though he had moved past those days, the thought of the entire multiverse watching made him uncomfortable.
And then, the narration resumed.
[The familiar voice of the first Peter Parker rang out: âWho am I? Do you really want to know? Only cowards should turn away from my story!â]
[âIf anyone tells you this is a happy little tale, that I was just an ordinary, carefree guy... theyâre lying.â]
[âBut I assure youâthis story, like any great one, begins with a girl. Thatâs her. The girl next door. Mary Jane Watson.â]
On the Sky Screen, a young Mary Jane Watson appeared.
She was on a school bus, laughing and chatting with her classmates.
She looked so happy, so carefree.
Chapter 249: The Unwelcome First Generation Spider-Man
Mary Jane gazed at the younger version of herself in high school, a flood of mixed emotions surging through her heart. She missed the First Generation Spider-Man. Every time she saw Gwen being so close to him at a party, a sense of inferiority crept over her.
Fortunately, Harry had always cared for herâhis first love, the girl who held a special place in his heart. Although many suitors tried to get close to Harry, he never crossed the line.
Mary Jane had come to realize the mistakes she had made in the past. Now, she clung closely to Harry, a man who was not only wealthy and well-known but also willing to make real sacrifices for Spider-Man.
A man like him was rare. Mary Jane understood this clearly. She had already lost one boy who once had eyes only for her; she couldn't afford to lose another.
First Gen Spider-Man rubbed his forehead and let out a long sigh. No matter what, fate had a way of catching up to him.
Let the storm come. Let it rage on.
Beside him, Gwen Stacy gently took his hand in hers, giving him silent support. Across from them sat Gwenâs parentsâher father, George Stacy, and her mother, Helen.
While the world looked at Spider-Man with curiosity and admiration, the two elders felt something more profoundâheartache. This young man had endured countless hardships, yet he remained steadfast in his ideals.
Despite the wealth he had accumulated from his copyright royaltiesâmore than enough to live luxuriously for multiple lifetimesâhe still chose to put his life on the line every day to fight crime.
This rare quality of perseverance and selflessness was what they admired most about him.
[âI fell in love with her before I even liked girls. I really wanted to say that the person sitting next to her should be me.â]
[The camera focused on Flash Thompson hugging Mary Jane before shifting to a chubby guy eating a sandwich across from them.]
[âWell, being him wouldnât be so bad either.â First Gen Spider-Man laughed at himself, just as a frantic hand began banging on the school bus window.]
[âHey! Stop the bus! Please, tell him to stop! Hey! Stop!!!â First Gen Spider-Man was seen running after the moving school bus, desperately trying to get on.]
[Inside the bus, the students burst into laughter at his predicament, even the driver chuckling at his misfortune. Some passengers playfully suggested he take a taxi instead.]
[Finally, Mary Jane couldnât take it anymore. She stepped forward and shouted to the driver, âStop the bus! Heâs been chasing us since Woodhaven Road!â]
[With a reluctant sigh, the driver finally hit the brakes. First Gen Spider-Man staggered onto the bus, panting as he apologized, âThanks⌠Sorry, Iâm late!â]
[Before he could finish his sentence, a crumpled paper ball flew at his face. He didnât react, merely glancing at his classmates before silently walking toward the back of the bus.]
[The mocking laughter continued. A girl with twin ponytails casually placed her hand on the seat next to her and sneered, âDonât even think about it.â]
[Another classmate chimed in, âYouâre pathetic, Parker!â]
[One of Flashâs lackeys looked back. Flash gave him a knowing nod, prompting the guy to smirk at First Gen Spider-Man.]
[As he walked down the aisle, every seat was deliberately occupied, leaving him nowhere to sit. When he finally spotted Mary Jane, he smiled faintly, hoping for some kindness. But he failed to notice a foot sticking out in his path. In the next moment, he tripped, crashing onto the bus floor to the sound of more laughter.]
Tony Stark leaned back in his chair at the S.H.I.E.L.D. conference room, smirking. "Wow. Thatâs rough. Looks like he had it even worse than the Second Gen Peter Parker. Seems like everybody hated him back then."
Rhodey shook his head. "Yeah⌠I wonder if theyâll regret it?"
Clint Barton replied in his usual calm tone, "Of course they will. If any of them had reached out to help him in those moments, they wouldâve earned his eternal gratitude."
And regret they did.
Many of them had already felt remorse the moment these broadcasts started playing. But it was too late.
The First Gen Spider-Man had long since outgrown them. He was in a league of his own now.
Gwen squeezed his hand, her heart aching for the boy he used to be. He returned a reassuring smile, silently telling her he had moved on.
Harry Osborn, watching the scene unfold, recalled how he had always been on Peterâs side in those days. The memories of their high school years brought a nostalgic smile to his lips.
But Mary JaneâŚ
Though she remained expressionless, deep down, a sense of melancholy crept into her heart.
[âStudents of Midtown High, stop wandering off! Stay in lineâhey, stop messing around!â]
[A black teacher scolded a group of students as he confiscated a bouncing ball from one of them.]
[âListen up! Itâs a privilege to be here! We are guests at the Columbia University Academy of Science. So behave yourselves! Donât embarrass me like you did at the planetarium last time!â]
[As he spoke, Mary Jane turned her head slightly and caught sight of Peter walking behind her. Seeing that she was looking in his direction, Peter raised his eyebrows, his heart leaping with hope.]
[But he failed to notice two girls walking in the same direction, waving to Mary Jane. His hopeful smile quickly faded as he realized he had misunderstood.]
[Sighing in disappointment, First Gen Spider-Man followed the crowd inside. At that moment, a sleek luxury car pulled up in front of the building.]
[Inside the car, Harry Osborn looked at his father, exasperated. "Can we go around the corner instead?"]
[Norman Osborn frowned. "Why? The entrance is right here."]
[âDad! Theyâre public school students. Do you really want me stepping out of a Rolls-Royce in front of them?â]
[Norman scoffed. "What, would you rather I drive you here in a beat-up Jetta? Just because that fancy private school I sent you to kicked you out?"]
["That school wasn't right for me!" Harry retorted.]
["Of course, it was! Don't be ashamed of who you are!" Norman snapped, eyes narrowing.]
[Harry clenched his jaw but struggled to explain. "Iâm not ashamed of myself, I justâŚ"]
["Just what, Harry?" Norman asked coldly.]
[Harry sighed. "Forget it."]
[At that moment, he spotted Peter outside the building. His expression softened as he opened the car door and stepped out. "Peter!"]
[Hearing his name, Peter turned around and smiled. "Hey, Harry!"]
[Harry jogged over, giving Peter a friendly pat on the back. "Hey, man! You doing okay?"]
[Together, the two walked into Columbia University, side by side.]
Chapter 250: Nanotechnology
âOh! Thatâs our school! I didnât expect the First Generation had visited before⌠even if itâs not the same world.â
Second Gen Spider-Man was a little surprised, glancing at Gwen, who nodded beside him.
Harry sighed when he saw his dad on the screenâback when he was still normal.
Now, his dad was locked away in a mental institution.
Even though First Gen Spider-Man had subdued and even cured him, it didnât erase the crimes Norman had committed. He had killed members of Oscorpâs board of directors and even a general from the Department of Defense.
If the Sky Screen hadnât revealed the Green Goblinâs existence to the publicâif the judge hadnât considered the impact of his dual personality disorderâNorman would have faced a far harsher punishment.
[âHarry, donât you have a backpack?â Norman called from behind, handing it over.]
[âThanks, Dad!â Harry grinned before introducing his father to First Gen Spider-Man. âPeter, this is my dadâNorman Osborn!â]
[âIâve heard a lot about you,â Norman stepped forward, shaking First Gen Spider-Manâs hand.]
[âItâs an honor to meet you, sir!â First Gen Spider-Man smiled politely.]
[âHarry tells me you have quite a talent for science. You know, Iâm a scientist myself,â Norman remarked with interest.]
[âIâve read your research on nanotechnologyâitâs amazing!â First Gen Spider-Man responded enthusiastically.]
[Norman raised an eyebrow, surprised. âYou understand it?â]
[âYes! I even wrote my own report on the subject,â First Gen Spider-Man nodded.]
[âThatâs impressive,â Norman praised him. âYour parents must be proud of you.â]
[A flicker of sadness passed through First Gen Spider-Manâs eyes, but he quickly answered, âI live with my uncle and aunt. Theyâre proud of me.â]
[Before their conversation could continue, the teacherâs voice called out, urging students to move along. Norman and First Gen Spider-Man shook hands once more before parting ways.]
[As they walked, First Gen Spider-Man turned to Harry and smiled. âYour fatherâs a great man.â]
[Harry chuckled. âJust because youâre a genius! I think he wants to adopt you!â]
Hearing Norman discuss nanotechnology, Tony Starkâs eyes lit up.
âNano⌠yeah! Nano!â Tony suddenly exclaimed. âUsing nanomaterials would prevent enemies from slipping through the armorâs weak points!â
Bruce Banner nodded in agreement. No matter how strong the gold-titanium alloy was, the gaps between the plating were a critical flaw. Those small weaknesses were potential entry points for attacks.
âAlright!â Tony clapped his hands decisively. âOur next objectiveâdeveloping nanomaterials for combat armor. Letâs get to work!â
Meanwhile, Second Gen Spider-Man kept his eyes on Norman Osborn in the broadcast.
âI remember Norman⌠he wanted to be like a father to the original Peter Parker. He even put on that actâpretending to be kindâonly to stab him in the back.â
Gwen nodded. âThatâs right. I wonder⌠has the First Gen Peter Parker changed his fate, just like we did?â
In their own world, both George Stacy and Gwen had survived what was supposed to be their fated deaths. Many people believed the Sky Screen had given them a chance to rewrite destiny.
Maybe the First Gen Peter Parker had, too.
[âThere are more than 32,000 species of spiders worldwide, classified into three major families.â]
[The teacher led the group of students through the facility, continuing her lecture.]
[First Gen Spider-Manâs eyes lit up as he looked at the advanced equipment. âWow! This is incredible!â]
[Turning to Harry, he added, âThis is the most advanced electron microscope on the East Coast! I canât believe we get to see it up close!â]
[The teacher gestured toward a glass case. âEach spider family has developed unique abilities to help them hunt. For example, this species from Australiaâit can jump to capture its prey.â]
[At that moment, Mary Jane frowned, irritated by Flash Thompson messing with her hair. She moved to the other side of the groupâonly to catch sight of Peter Parker staring at her.]
[When their eyes met, First Gen Spider-Man quickly averted his gaze, pretending he hadnât been looking. Mary Jane, however, simply turned away indifferently.]
[Meanwhile, Parker spotted the spiders and pulled out his camera. âCan I take a picture for the school magazine?â]
[After receiving approval, he focused on the shotâonly for Flash to deliberately bump into him, ruining his photo.]
[Flashâs cronies chuckled and pushed past him, acting as if nothing had happened.]
[The teacher continued, âNext, we have a web-spinning spider from the genus Araneus. It creates an incredibly strong, funnel-shaped webâalmost as durable as construction cables.â]
[First Gen Spider-Man tried to take another photo, but once again, Flashâs lackeys shoved him just enough to make him miss his shot.]
[Watching from the side, Harry finally had enough. âBack off,â he warned.]
[One of Flashâs goons smirked. âOr what?â]
[Flash sneered, âYeah, whatâs your dad gonna do? Fire my dad?â]
[Hearing this, Flashâs friends laughed, clapping their hands in amusement.]
[With a smug grin, Flash grabbed Harry by the collar. âWhat can your father do to me? Sue me?â]
[Just before things could escalate, the teacher appeared. He grabbed Flashâs wrist and frowned. âWhatâs going on here?â]
[The smirking students immediately fell silent, straightening up as the teacher glared at them.]
[âIf I hear one more word, someoneâs getting a failing grade. Iâm not kidding. Now, keep moving.â]
[The class reluctantly obeyed, and the tour resumed.]
[âThis species here is a grass spider,â the teacher explained. âIt has extraordinary reflexes, which help it hunt. Some scientists believe its reflexes are so fast, they border on precognition. Itâs as if they have a sixth sense!â]
Watching the broadcast, Tony raised an eyebrow. âWait⌠isnât that Spider-Manâs ability? Is this where the original Peter Parker got his powers?â
Natasha, standing nearby, nodded thoughtfully. âYeah, I was thinking the same thing.â
In another room, little Peter Parker sat on Aunt Mayâs lap, wide-eyed as he stared at the spiders on the Sky Screen.
He couldnât contain his excitement.
The idea that he would one day have incredible superpowersâjust like the Spider-Men in the broadcastsâthrilled him so much that he could barely sit still.
Meanwhile, First Gen Spider-Man found himself lost in thought.
Looking back on that moment in his life⌠it was impossible not to feel something.
The Sky Screen had repeated over and over that this wasnât mere coincidence, but the inevitable path of fate.
