For All of You
Added 2024-11-06 13:14:59 +0000 UTCI know saying that we should 'treat it like another day' is silly since it shouldn't. But at the same time it's a Catch-22. We should acknowledge but not give it more power over our mentality. Since that will cause a downward spiral of thought that it'll be near impossible to recover from any time soon.
However, that doesn't change the worry and anxiety. The fear of things being out of your control. That's how worry starts. That's how the invisible virus of thought takes over. My mom told me once when I was stressing out about politics "is it something you can do? If the answer is no, then move on. Focus on things you have control over."
Again, it's hard to do so all things considered. And I'm not saying 'don't acknowledge' or stick our heads in the sand. But what I can do, in my power, is this: give you comfort. Give you support. Let it be known that I'm here if you want to talk. If you need to get your negative emotions out. I will do all I can to provide you with some comfort and kindness.
It's the least I can do to support you all. To do something within my power and in my control.
And no matter what, I love you all. I support and appreciate and care for all of you.
