New Year's Update & A Question

I hope everyone's had a nice holiday season. I've been okay all things considered. Better than I was than at the beginning of last month, that's for sure. I spent a good chunk of December busy before getting some time off for work. Though, as most of you know, the holidays can be crammed full of festivities and the like.

First, here's some updates of things I was working on last month that I never got to posting.

• My next commission that combines the Kill la Kill ladies with a chocolate factory [WG/Inflation/Bursting]

• A sequel of sorts to the Mystery Gain X stuff from years ago, this time with Yu [BHM/WG]

• The My Adventures with Superman version of Mxy making Lex Luthor live out the cake meme [BHM/XWG/Inflation]

• A Rule 63 [Genderswap] version of Passion Patties [BHM/WG]

• Junpei discovering a version of Junes in the Midnight Channel [BHM/WG]

• Jaune getting a magical harem of gainers [BBW/WG/Lite Health Play]

  • PS: I watched some RWBY to get an idea of things. Why do people like it so much?

• Hinata punishing Boruto and Sarada with a Hyuga Secret Technique [SSBBW/Humiliation/Squashing]

• The indulgence/compulsion status effect has hit Mitsuru [BBW/WG]

• Starfire has to go to intergalactic fat camp [SSBBW/WG]

• Yor's latest target will go out in an odd manner [SSBBW/GTS/Squashing]

Now then, something to talk about and the aforementioned question.

• If you saw my 2025 End of Year thing, you may notice I wrote a lot. A lot more than I thought I would and more than the last year. That isn't necessarily a bad thing but I need to be better at not going so word crazy. I'd promised myself last year to be consistent with time off so I'm going to follow through with that where every Sunday/Saturday, I won't write. I gotta set some boundaries for myself. I hope you understand but a balance like that can hopefully avoid big burnout like I got last year.

• Speaking of burnout, part of what was causing it was trying to do too much. I was successful with stuff in 2024 and tried to do similar and/or bigger things in 2025. It all started off okay, I'd argue, but the summer months was when things petered off. So I will be focusing on a set amount of things per day (as in balancing patreon work and comm work). I want to do more but I need to know when too much is enough

Which leads me to the question: What would you all like me to do with polls? It's the one thing I don't use as much as I should. I'd been good with it in the first year or two but last year's system was too much. I think it was a good idea (balancing characters chosen vs themes) but I already talked about how I couldn't keep up already. The other issue being trying to please too many people all at once.

I could do something like my bro Dark where he has a theme and four characters he chose that people will like. There's another writer, Jobelette, who had a thing where she made two separate polls: one for character and one for theme, then made a big story. Both options seem good and there's always the idea of "hey, here's some stuff I (Wales) want to make, what should it be" and let you all vote for things like "do you want Aki story part 2 or Godiva story part 2" etc.

So yeah, I'm at a bit of an impasse. I would like feedback/ideas on the poll system and how to improve it. As well as anything else you'd guys like me to try and do going into 2026.
