Update on Updates

Hey, it's been a while since I've said anything here. In traditional Weaver style of being bad at keeping regular updates, I find Patreon in particular is a place I have trouble posting regular news. This is probably a very dumb idea, since it's literally the place all my donations have to come from! Ha ha oops, whoops

Things have been continuing regularly on the website, which I'll mention at every possible opportunity was only a pipe dream for years and finally came to fruition thanks to the generous donations and support of my patrons, right here.

Every Saturday since the beginning of this year, when the site first opened, a batch of 64 (or more!) pics has been uploaded. Week by week, the site grows, and slowly the old archives from my swollen hard drive are sorted, cleaned, thoroughly tagged for searchability (and blacklisting!), and published on the site. These batches generally consist of everything new I've made that week, and then all the other upload slots are filled with old works, from chunks of fanart to miscellaneous doodles done for transient threads on imageboards.

The end goal, of course, is that one day all my old work will finally be archived and sorted here. Every single thing I've drawn will finally have an easily searchable home, something my fans have been asking me for for years. Complaints of how hard it is to find my work in one singular place will one day be a thing of the past, and once that archive is complete, all my new works will be promptly posted to the site direct -- an easy way then, as now, to follow my latest creations!

So far, everything's going smoothly. A few months back we kicked off new features on the site, like a "like" system, expanded blacklist, comment stickers, and various sorting methods to the gallery. More is in the works as yet, but it's mostly bells and whistles to the existing foundation. Next week, we'll cross the threshold of 4,000 pics on the gallery!

It's so strange, sometimes, looking back at all these images I've drawn. So many of them I remember fondly, but there's plenty I'll see while digging through my old, unsorted folders and think "I don't even remember this one". I guess it's easy to get lost in the volume. But for all the good memories, new and old, I've got you guys to thank, first and foremost. None of this would be possible without you. And I don't just mean the site; your engagement, support, encouragement, kind words and understanding through the years have helped me stay afloat, and to keep doing what I love -- and what I hope you love, too.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you all who've stuck with me. Here's hoping I can live up to the support you've given me, and be the kind of person worthy of the love you've shown over these many years.

What do you mean by “a new play”? Like a new quest?

I'm just trying to give you $2 to shitpost content I might enjoy. I'll likely never log into this site to check for *-_-*exclusive*-_-* updates.

Yes it's fun to see random MS paint drawings. Are you ever going to do a new play? Or an installation of Pack Street?

chupsahoy

Yes! Obviously the updates will be smaller, because I won't have thousands of old pictures to shovel through, but any and all new art produced between updates will continue to go up in weekly batches.

but Father Weaver, what will happen when all the old art has been posted? will weekly uploads still happen?

As far as we can figure, this is a bug regarding a recent .js file. We've forced a new version such that it will update automatically and this has fixed the problem for most users. However, yours isn't the only mention that there's still a problem. So we're still working to see what might be causing the remaining issues. Try a hard refresh and a cache clear. If that doesn't work, the problem may be deeper. We're still looking into the issue and will hopefully have a more comprehensive solution very soon.

Heya Weaver! Loving the work as always. I noticed that in my attempt to show my appreciation, technology is thwarting me. Recently I have been getting a message "Problem adding like to this medium" whenever I press the heart button. Until I resolve this, count this as several hearts in the form of words.

The rare Weaver update!

Yay for updates, love you Weaver!
