In the entryway there’s a large two-story chalk mural by a local artist from around that time period containing, among other things, rose of crosses with “why?” written on all of them. The artist, whose surname was also Wilson, was not a fan of the president.

To that extent, the biggest contribution America made to the Allied war effort was "people", and the Allies do not win on the western front without them.

I listened to episode 52 today with Jeremy Scahill (it's a great ep and he was a really good guest) at the end they talked about how disgusting the display for "our honored statesman" would be on both sides when Kissinger died - Scahill actually asked to come back when it happened. I doubt anyone remembers the exchange but that would be a cool call back.
