Weekly Progress Report #4 (

(If you downloaded the update close to release, I have since updated the files to fix a couple of game-breaking bugs. They are the same file, just re-download it)

First things first, let's talk about antivirus flagging. I am aware of the problem and am 99% sure I know why it is happening. The only issue is there doesn't seem to be a good solution to it. The cause of the false flags is that I am saving the games data to appdata, something many games do, but since I don't have a digital signature it causes antivirus to flagged it. The best solution to this is to go through Itch.io, as that makes antivirus trust the source of the file. This works for public builds, but for early access there is not a way to give people access to the file from a different site (I do sell early access on Itch, but that is it's own purchase that I can't get a link for my patrons). I keep my eyes out for solutions but as it stands you just have to take my word unfortunately.

Now onto the actual changes:

Re-writing the Pregnancy code was necessary but I would be lying if I said it went as smoothly as I wanted. I am still new to coding and thus I am still certain that it could have been done better. Regardless, the new code will make it far easier (and well possible in the first place) to add new variations to Pregnancy and Oviposition in future updates.

Speaking of future updates, I am a bit less certain of the immediate things I want to add. Traps and items have been high on my list for a while but somewhat understandably they have not been doing great on polls. Similar to climbing, I feel these will enhance the game at it's core and make it more engaging. As such, I will be making two polls in the near future. One will be pure game play mechanics that I am hoping to add, the other will be more general and focus on the enemy/animations. I have not forgotten that alternate s** scenes was second on the last poll, and as such this will be the guaranteed thing in the next version. However, making even just one more scene for each enemy is quite daunting, so I might implement this slowly over multiple versions, I will know better when I start working on it.

So to some it up, 0.0.5 will focus on one major gameplay mechanic, additional content (such as a new enemy, or new areas), and I will aim to add corruption based scenes to as many of the enemies as I can.
