2022-10-21 12:50:35 +0000 UTCI think this is also why the manga panels work really well in a cinematic format like the anime has been doing. Fujimoto was already great with creative choices for his action and seeing it animated it just makes sense with the direction they're taking

2022-10-19 01:56:14 +0000 UTCI think something that was missed in this series is how incredible Fujimoto's art is, and I think that's mostly due to your inexperience with typical battle / shonen manga. His paneling and choices for scene framing is easily some of the best in the biz right now and it makes reading the manga a very smooth ride which is essential considering how chaotic the story can be. Some of his full page spreads will be with me for a loooooong time. I've stared at that page of Makima walking Denji to the door with the artwork of the fallen angel in the background for what feels like an actual hour of real life time and it's just so good. Love the series, hope you keep up with the series because some of the new characters are already really entertaining. Denji is still an idiot though haha
