On certain words she’s mashed the Korean/japanese way of saying it because they do share a lot of similar words. But, in izone they didn’t get teachers to help them. They each learned in their own when they had time and from their members. Hitmoi and nako picked it up quicker. But, now kkura as well as zuha have Korean teachers in hybe. But, kkura is also taking English and mandarin all at the same time on top of their schedules. Eunchae is taking Japanese alongside i think yunjin/chaewon. Kkuras asks yunjin to try to teach her a new English words everyday if she remembers. ————- But, ergo wony young is a very good student and takes her studying seriously. She’s one of those students that doesn’t really need to study hard. She has a great memory. Why I think it was easy for her to learn Japanese and English so well at a young age. Idk if starship trains their idles for Japanese like WM did w chaeyeon. At least I think it was WM that gave her a Japanese teacher right away. Anyways, thanks for the reaction and time as always.

2024-07-07 18:14:12 +0000 UTCI believe at this point in time, the 3 Japanese members are fairly equal in their Korean level which is mostly basic & conversational. I feel that Hitomi picked up the language a lot quicker evidently since she wrote the korean lyrics for with Minju in the next comeback & she had the clearest pronounciation during IZ*ONE days. Sakura's Korean got obviously better from FIesta era onwards, but her accent was (and still is) strong so there are certain words that she has a harder time pronounciating even now that I've noticed.

2024-07-07 18:01:00 +0000 UTCSo yea, Yena is a cancer survivor. You can actually still see the surgical scar on her neck which she doesn't hide. She also revealed a couple weeks ago that she was in a very bad skiing accident when she was young and lost the ability to walk. Her mum made her do a bunch of physiotherapy and home remedies. What did it was her mum tossing her into a hot spring repeatedly until survival instinct kicked in and she moved her legs.

I'm not sure if he is still part of it, but he used to be on Eunbi's radio show (Eunbi's Youngstreet) as a regular. They talked about Yena very often on the radio and are same-age friends so there was bickering
