The completely reworked NPC 2.0 version will be released early next month. I’ve created two new standard models for the NPCs and painted brand-new textures specifically for them.

Another primary goal of the rework is to fix the color mismatch issues on most NPCs’ chests, and to achieve support for multiple outfit styles within the same mod—without relying on hash values.
The above method uses cross-IB rendering to unify the chest color with the rest of the skin, resolving the color mismatch issue. However, this introduces another problem: as shown in the image below, when multiple identical modified objects appear on screen, the cross-IB portions may malfunction. This is a side effect of fixing the color mismatch

But I’ve already found an alternative solution.
As shown in the image, the new method resolves both the color mismatch and the malfunction shown above.
At the same time, the outfits they’re wearing are modified versions based on their original clothing, rather than a fixed set from the mod. This is also an issue I’m actively working to address. With my new approach, these clothing textures no longer rely on hash values, so low-end users don’t need to worry.

Because the number of NPCs has already exceeded 100, and each NPC has two distance-based mods… even with 30 hours of work, it’s impossible to finish everything. But that’s the amount of time I can allocate for this version. I’ll continue improving things in future updates.
