When I make something for a long time I often use small aesthetic elements to kickstart-motivate me. For example I have the characters linework clean in this shot already (you don't see them obviously cause spoilers) and I can start coloring and shading right away but I want something new to get me into the momentum. Something with a quicker result and to disctract me from the routine and the endless cleaning and coloring. And drawing some rain drops on a train window is that something. It can be Magent's hat reminding me of Pushkin, or venturing into bodyhorror a little with the 'soup scene' or looking up Aztec paintings for the Silent Way stand.
Uluncha outdid herself with the train. I didn't have plans for shots with the wheels (do they call train wheels wheels?) but I am doing a scene to showcase those. Full on western half of this thing.
I might become a depressed penguin if I don't finish it this month. But I am definitely gonna be satisfied with how it looks beginning to end more than say in case of Tavern (it's all about the Dral x Baby Scamp scene background, the rest is beautiful). After I clean the train it's the final and re-visited shots.
My laptop has been revived after the coffee incident but I will need to bring it for another look cause the cooler is still overworking sometimes. Thoroughly enjoyed having a nothing-can-do break and typing on a mechanical keyboard as I drew on the old PC. So that didn't hault me as much as expected but I did cry over it.
What else. I saw a UFO. Low flying helicopter size dish-shaped blinking lights something. From the distance it looked like an airplane (one blinking light, one static) but it was so definitely dish-shaped up-close and flying too low and too big for a drone and maybe moving too fast for a balloon. Even tho I wanted to be agent Mulder as a kid it's difficult for me to believe. But I want to...
