Going through the selected frame heavy scenes and fixing the color schemes meanwhile sketching what are supposed to be simpler shots. Experimenting with production logistics again but the core conclusion is 'do storyboard more, do play with potential color schemes beforehand'. But this is the longest (before credits roll) animation I made so far.
I like the pinkish/yellow tint instead of pure black and white because when I hold the book to a lamp that's how the pages look. Also thinking about ParaNorman after the ghostoftheoldworld pointed out the orangy sky.
On the right is a panel from S.H.O.C.K.E.R. side manga that accompanied Shin Kamen Rider release. I really liked how tears were shaded there so I used it as a reference and now I will have to replicate this shading and detail for all the frames in this lengthy sequence...
