Can totally understand the mixed feelings of the season. Re:Zero as a show just feels like its best experienced binged at once, and not week by week. This was a general complaint I heard from audiences when Season 1 was being live broadcast weekly: that it was getting repetitive etc. Season 2 being stuck in one place is very thematically fitting for the conflict of the arc in general: stagnation of growth and the struggle to overcome trauma of the past in order to move forward. Each character developed alot this season. Despite not seeming like it.. we went through and learn ALOT this season. 1. Continuing Subaru's personal journey. Learning to love himself and to value his life more. 2. Developing some other already established characters from S1: Roswaal, Beatrice, Ram, Emilia, Otto.. even Elsa 3. The reveal of Roswaal being the major influence for the core chain of events that Subaru experienced in Season 1 and Season 2. 4. Introduction of new Archbishops and the Witches (and a Devil).. with some lore of how their influence affects the current state of the world. 400 years ago seems to have been a massive time in the history of this world as every important plot point in the current era seems to point to that time period as the catalyst for the current state of the world. 5. Introduction of new characters: Frederica, Garfiel, Ryuzu's, Mother Fortuna and even a small exploration of Pelgeuse's past before he went insane No doubt that each season will just open up new questions and mysteries of the world at large and the path our characters are taking.

But remember that Emilia dont recognize her in the grave (You was looking away that moment last episode, but Emilia said "Who is that" when she was looking at Echidna body, and Subara was talking about Roswaald's sensei he never said Echidna etc. And she look slightly different in the grave from the one we saw in the dream realm. So that's probably mean we will saw her more in the future and learn more about her (and the other witches of course.)

It was a relief to see you angry with Subaru in season 1, and Emilia in season 2, talking shit to them (because they deserved), instead of being like most reactors and saying "omg this show is perfect!!!" while we know they are rolling their eyes inside their heads. Thank you for speaking what you really think, and I'm excited for the next show!
