But yeah, as the others have mentioned, perhaps watching the movie (and relieving the trauma) would be a good idea to lead up to the extra scene - or just watch the extra scene which is on youtube (think someone also linked the clip somewhere in the other comments) And right after this would be the OVA: vs Failing Marks before season 3! :D

It was a bonus chapter in the manga (so it's canon), that sadly didn't make it into the anime but was included in the recap movie.
