Added 2025-03-13 12:00:08 +0000 UTCI'm sorry but she brought this on herself 😭

Don’t get me wrong, I kinda like these moments. Annoying might’ve been a strong word, just a little inconvenient. It’s kinda cool the show plays around with the language like that.

2025-03-14 21:19:29 +0000 UTCI would say she *reminds* me of Hayasaka. There is a few pretty notable differences. But there is definitely some likeness. If this was the same universe, I'd assume it was Hayasaka putting on another persona for sure, though.

2025-03-14 19:49:05 +0000 UTCI admit it is a little annoying. The way I take it though, is that they're saving that translation for a moment when Kuze thinks back on it. As you said yourself, Alya's russian confession wasn't translated that episode but the opening of ep 5 showed him thinking about that moment the next morning and we had the translation revealed. I think sometimes it's very fitting - when shes being quiet and he struggles to hear it or when it's being used to enhance a later scene. This one I think is particularly frustrating because she clearly said something pretty big there and we're not in on it. As someone who has seen the show though... I understand why it isn't revealed here.

2025-03-14 11:20:49 +0000 UTCI don't think that's entirely right because Kuze mentioned at 11:53 that Taniyama was too focused on him and didn't even care about Alya, she wasn't even supposed to do the student congress thing, Alya stepped up herself. I think Cara&Prez were right on the money on Taniyama in their discussion.

2025-03-14 11:14:07 +0000 UTCAt 21:59, I'm pretty sure Kuze knows what Alya said, it just wasn't translated to the viewers. Kuze understood Alya's confession back in Ep 4 when the Russian wasn't translated as well, I think it's supposed signify a rare moment for the two characters that even excludes the viewers. I believe this happens in the light novel as well, sometimes the Russian won't be translated on purpose, which can be annoying I'll admit.

2025-03-14 06:26:51 +0000 UTCI think you all might have misunderstood Taniyama, I honestly think she believed in Yuki and Kuze enough to not compete against them. Then with Kuze picking Alya, it must have made wonder what Alya is made compared to Yuki, hence the debate to see if she is better than Yuki. At least that is how I understood it. I can be wrong, but I'm fine with it. I think it comes down to understanding each persons motivation
