I really love when Ayanokoji, this episode, just stops playing games with her and says it how it is. "When are you going to stop being useless?" "You need a weapon. You can use Suou the same way I use you." Like damn dude, straight to her face just saying "You are a piece in my chess game. You may currently be the Queen Piece, but your still JUST a piece."

2025-07-11 05:45:58 +0000 UTCI think one that should be taken a note is that in Season 1 Horikita mostly deals with her own class, the worst opponent she had to face is those scumbags from Class C. So when the true 'battlefield' is on the plate like this one and the previous Island Exam, we started to see more of her incompetencies and she truly can't do anything on that level of challenges yet, despite her growth compared to the beginning of the series. She still isn't ready to face another Class Leader.
