Jujutsu Kaisen S3 Episode 4

Maki is our GOAT! Easily top 3 ep of jjk...might even be top 1?

Comments

I love that Ogi is just out of his mind thinking he’s as good as Naobito. Just not even close to as strong as his older brother but blames it on his kids.

That single punch was what One Punch Man season 3 wished it could be

Yuta is a lucky guy Another Reason why he’s the true MC lol

This is why from the beginning Maki has always been my favorite! Even before all this Maki (despite what Naoya says) she could hold her own in a fight with a cursed weapon. Mai giving maki what she needed, but also taking all the cursed energy from her so Maki can now achieve her full potential was heartbreaking but like mai said down in the pit.. "I always knew at some point it would come down to this" meaning Mai knew all along she'd have to sacrifice herself so Maki could be complete. Naoya dying by mom is irony considering his misogynistic view of women, he got stabbed in the back the very way he told us in episode one all women should be stabbed if they don't get behind there man.

Think about how Naoya viewed women when the first episode of season 3 opened up, and how it’s stated that women are treated horribly/abused within the Zenin clan multiple times throughout the series. I think that Maki’s mom was so cold and awful because she had been beaten down by that abusive environment for years upon years and basically fell victim to the mindset herself, so she treated her daughters terribly (as seen many times in the show). I think she told Maki to come back at the beginning of this episode then started spazzing out and yelling because she realized it was fraught, that everything was about to come to a head because Maki wasn’t going to cower down and stay in the shadows like the clan expects of her, and that’s why she said “for once, make me proud I gave birth to you.” Without context it sounds like an awful thing to say, but (in my opinion) it felt like it was the true emotions creeping out saying, “please liberate us.” Then, at the end when she stabbed Naoya, I think she breathed her sigh of relief and said she was glad she gave birth to the twins because the oppressive structure that did this to probably hundreds upon hundreds of women and people had crumbled, Maki had succeeded, and it was almost a salvation of sorts. Also, Naoya dying by getting stabbed in the back by a woman after saying what he said as his opening lines in S3 episode 1 is poetic.

Yeah I think they confused it for the sword Toji used against Gojo, but last episode revealed that Gojo either broke or sealed it.

WhopsInc.

Mai created Maki a new sword, that's what killed Mai, so Maki has 2 op swords now

WhopsInc.

its not tojis sword, its a sword mai made before dying

Kurri

The fact that she even hunted down the Zen'in members that weren't home by the time is the cherry on top.

And that is the end of Naoya "Pillow Hands" Zenin. Stabbed in the back by a woman, a fate he thought deserving of "women who do not know how to walk behind a man" (Well first he was punched out by a woman he mentally and physically abused for years, so double on the poetry)

A goose with a reed in its beak it’s called well prepared for migration, Mai and Maki were 2 geese with only one reed, so when Mai left and gave Maki a reed, she became a perfectly prepared goose
