Getting scared for aqua man. He's confirmed Kana doesnt need him now, cut off akane and realizes Ruby is now also not able to let this go untill its done. He has no reason not to all in and Im nervous about what ending we are setting up. If Aqua makes it out, how are any of these relationships returning to some normalcy?

On the one side you are ignoring that Kanna, while not especially successful, was holding her own for over a decade in the industry, literally her own in the last few years with her family and agency abandoning her completely, and recently restructured her entire life to become an Idol because Aqua asked her to. On the other side you are ignoring that Akane wouldn't be alive today if Aqua didn't save her just so you can make needing help a slight towards Kanna.

He has made a decision to make this sacrifice. Like, If this was Kana instead of Akane begging him, I think the result would be the same. No matter who he loves, he DOES CARE for BOTH of them. He used Akane to get details on his father, that's shitty, but he also doesn't want her to be harmed, let alone killed. I really really need a confrontation between Ruby and Aqua. It is long overdue, they are literally on the same revenge path now. Evil Twin Duo give it to me 😂

2026-02-26 05:07:11 +0000 UTCBeen saying it S1... Akane is a Yandere. She's a much more realistic depiction of a Yandere than other anime take, though. I think that's what's so interesting about her. She feels like such a believable person despite falling into the Yandere trope. Whereas usually that trope is depicted as the one of the LEAST believable character tropes.

I think thats his main motivation for rejecting Akanes attempt to dive into hell with him. She still sees a life with him after his revenge where I dont think he does. Hes separating himself from others to lessen the pain.

2026-02-26 03:55:21 +0000 UTCto me, i don’t think the decision has anything to do really with him loving kana and not akane, i think he just doesn’t feel right bringing such a young girl down to hell with him. since he remembers his past life, he looks at himself more like an adult compared to the other characters his age. you can see that again this episode from when he’s talking to the reporter and says “don’t you feel bad doing this to a high school kid?” he’s had a few moments like that. so in his eyes, akane has so much more life to live, throwing it all away to satisfy his revenge is not something he’ll let her do. i think he’d do the same thing with kana, and he would’ve leaked the Ai info for akane if she needed it as well. so while i do think he is in love with kana, more than anything he seems to try and do whats “right” in his own twisted view of right and wrong. that’s all, sorry for the long rant lol

While Akane figured our boy out. I'll always be Team Akane because of her willingness and intelligence. She doesn't put herself in Kana's desperate situations that Aqua has to always bail out and check on. Still love both girls.
