[Update] Current project list August 2025

Hi,

I hope everyone is going well. I just wanted to make a quick post since it has been a few weeks since my last one and wanted to give an overview on what I've been working on.

[ X ] Dark Souls Remastered: Seamless Co-op:

There is a fix for the Lautrec bug which I described in my previous post. I have not yet had time to test all use cases to make sure it's a complete fix so haven't pushed the update. It's likely to come soon-ish.

With this update will come some save-saving tools as well - such as being able to revive the blacksmiths with souls if they just so happened to fall through the map when you're 'seamlessly' traversing the world in multiplayer.

[ X ] Dark Souls III: Seamless Co-op:

This project has taken a little bit of a backseat. Since the previous update I have refactored much of the code to mimic some of the changes I made with the way seamless co-op works in Dark Souls remastered (e.g. being able to have usually unloaded maps loaded when a distant player enters them).

[ X ] Elden Ring: Seamless Co-op:

No updates on this project I'm afraid - As I said before though Elden Ring is first on my list to re-visit once I have made my other projects feature-complete.

[ X ] Nightreign: Seamless Co-op:

Nightreign is a relatively new release and still being maintained by FromSoftware. The current state of the seamless co-op mod is that it is now feature-complete.

Originally this mod was designed to just bridge the gap between the game's launch and the developers adding official 2-player support. Now that this has been done, the only real use this mod has over the vanilla game is mod support and increasing player cap.

Once the bugs associated with the 6-player cap are fixed, the project will be put in maintenance mode. I have no plans on adding PvP and/or random matchmaking.

Whilst in theory this player cap can be expanded further, beyond 6 players seems overkill and even with a very high scaling curve for enemies the game just becomes comically easy.

[ X ] Armoured Core VI: Seamless Co-op:

A similar situation to Elden Ring seamless - This is a project I will re-visit once Dark Souls II & Sekiro seamless have been released, so I can focus on maintaining the projects I already have.

[ O ] Dark Souls II: Seamless Co-op

This mod is still very much under construction. I have spent the last several weeks documenting in full how the host communicates world state to client players, and have managed to get the world state completely mirrored (e.g. enemy states, event flag states, NPC states) in the guest player's game which is something essential for seamless to work.

I could make a video demonstrating some game play since it works well enough (with some jank) to play in a duo session, however I haven't really felt like making videos lately as I have been wrapped up with life obligations.

ETA: Winter 2025 (guess)

[ O ] Sekiro: Seamless Co-op:

Testing continues. I can't commit to an ETA just yet but it's looking more late 2025 based on my current project catalogue and life factors.

ETA: Winter 2025 (guess)

I hope this update is helpful. Please take my ETA's as complete guess work. It's based on how I feel personally about the mod. I have a lot going on outside modding right now and unexpected things occasionally happen and can eat weeks of my time.

Take care,

Yui

Thanks for all the work you have put into all of these! I have been loving the armored core coop and actually have a lan party we host monthly here. Adding more than 6 players would be amazing! We have 8-12 players usually and the list of coop games that support that is tiny, even with mods. Your work is appreciated by a great many, and even more who don't even know of you directly. Keep up the sick ass work, you deserve every penny of support we can give! 🍻

My brother and i have been using elden ring seamless coop for like a year now, so I figured i should start supporting your efforts. Looking forward to ac6 and ds:r! Also looking forward to the field boss bugs getting fixed in elden ring!
