Monthly Checkup #30: Patreon Woes
Added 2024-05-02 06:58:32 +0000 UTCHey everyone. I got some bad news. I sent the around 500 people in my "audience" a message about this!
It looks like my Patreon just isn't doing so well. There are only 39 paid members out of 124 total members. I am making less than $98... which is more like $65 when payments are all processed. This isn't looking good, and it seems like it will keep dropping further and further until there is almost nothing left. This isn't enough to supplement my income and that's not good, I need it so I at least have some wiggle room each month to get stuff I want for myself while commissions are for helping to pay important stuff.
I have no idea what to do besides trying to create more stuff solely for my Patreon which will burn me out very quickly and apply too much pressure on me, which isn't good for me mentally or emotionally.
I mean, complaining doesn't seem to work, that's for sure. So I don't know what else to do but to just vent to you about this. I don't want to have some kind of regular upload schedule for new content because it's too much for me, I don't like the added pressure of HAVING TO DO SOMETHING, instead of just working at my own pace when I want.
Please, if you can help spread the word that my Patreon is kind of dying, that would be very helpful. There is still stuff on here you can't find uploaded anywhere else, and I plan on uploading more.
