That's the funniest thing. Everyone else wanted to join the crew. Luffy kinda blackmailed Zoro to join in. I mean look at everyone, Sanji wanted to join in to find his all blue, Nami, first to take their treasure and then officially, Usopp wanted to join to become a brave warrior, Chopper wanted to join as a way to keep his promise to Dr Hiluluk, Robin joined as she had nowhere to go then found her tribe, Franky joined as a way to fulfil his dream of sailing all over the world. Brook as he was finally allowed to not be lonely. But for Zoro, Luffy basically said, join me or die here. That might be the most pirate thing Luffy has done this entire series.

2021-07-30 23:37:24 +0000 UTCI don’t think the Ace tattoo is supposed to be the initials for Luffy and Whitebeard. However, the crossed out S in Ace’s tattoo is indeed a Sabo reference. That was literally Sabo’s pirate flag before he got bombed. (It was an S with a pirate cross).
2021-07-28 21:35:31 +0000 UTCZoro's journey is a subtle one, but he's come a long way from when he and Luffy first met: "If you get in my way I won't hesitate to cut you down" more or less to his interaction with Kuma to bowing his head before Mihawk for the sake of supporting Luffy's ambition.
