There’s nothing unethical or bad about it, for one, and for another thing, I think a lot of people find it attractive. Sure, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I think, for me especially, it taps into a lot of instincts that a ton of people have naturally. Like many people want to become parents, it’s a very inherent urge for a lot of folks. But I, for example, am terrified of the idea of ever being pregnant, and yet oviposition seems more manageable - I’ve always wished humans laid eggs, smaller and less complicated than live birth. XD So I say all that to say, I think the very concept of oviposition is both a delight and a comfort for a lot of people, and I personally can see nothing shameful about it. It’s kinda like the age-old urge to start a family, just in a very unique and less terrifying package. XD I’d totally take a clutch of mothman eggs, no question. X3
