"The Mummy Minotaur" Hi-Res Final Color!
Added 2019-07-30 13:00:03 +0000 UTCToday I've got a Mummy Minotaur for you! This guy was one of the absolute MOST FUN monsters I've worked on so far, and best of all, I actually hit my 5 HOUR GOAL! (For the first time ever!) He just came together very quickly. In part this was due to some new brushes I've developed that saved me a lot of time. It all went so fast, even with all the extra mummy cloth strips and fine detailing on the golden bits. I'll be giving the Minotaur Mummy Photoshop Brush Set out next month as our August brush set!
I am also finally going to be releasing a full compilation of the Monster of the Month brush set in the next few days. It will go up for sale on my Artstation and on Gallerygerard.com. Members of the Monster of the Month tier will already have access to all of these YEAR ONE brushes for just the $10 sub. But download them now! Once we are into year two I will be taking down older ones each month to keep everything current.
Also, I have 2 oil paintings that I had hoped to share with you this month, but they have refused to dry quickly for me here in the Georgia summer humidity. One of them may be ready by tomorrow, but if I miss that date you will have several Classic Fantasy Illustrations landing next month for members of the $5 tier and up (especially as I start finishing up all my work for DragonCon in September). Hi Brandon, Wow! Good catch! I thought I had posted that brush set earlier but I didn't. That month was a double monster month and since I did the Hydra first I only uploaded the Turtle Hydra set and forgot all about the Minotaur set. But I did actually make one and it is a really good one! One of the best so far and I still use all those brushes. I will post it later this month!
