Switching to Subscription Billing

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that Patreon has recently notified me that they are discontinuing the Per Creation billing model and beginning to migrate creators to their monthly or "subscription" billing model instead. So we're making the move.

What this means for you: Instead of US$1 per map and 4 maps per month, (or US$4 per month) I'm shifting my tier pricing to US$5 per month for Adventurer level supporters and US$10 per month for Knight level supporters.

This modest increase is partially because my prices have not changed since I launched this patreon back in 2018, and partially because of the quality and library of content available to patrons now compared to what it was back then.

What this means for me: (Thanks for asking!) Frankly, this will be much easier to manage. The per creation model made sense back in 2018, when I was making small, 15x20 setpiece battlemaps almost exclusively. These days, one of my maps are almost always at least double that size, if not moreso, and include asset packs and mega maps that take months to produce and don't neatly fit into the "per creation" billing model. This has resulted in some strange splitting and empty post necessities when I've wanted to produce other cool projects, like the Cursed City megamap, The Dark Hall, or varieties of assets and maps that didn't fit well into 4 equal parts for a month. So I'll continue to produce maps of the same quality and quantity as usual, but you may not get quite as many emails about it, and no more empty posts.
