This post is available 24 hours early to those pledging $5 or more
19 months, 16 games, 13 videos, and 130 dungeons later, and we finally finish our breakdown of the dungeons in the Zelda series, by looking at 2017's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
And now I don't want to even think about Zelda dungeons for a looooong while!
I am so bold, now after over a year and a half, to ask if a summary will ever come? Sorry :'D Thanks for the great content!

Crazy amount of work and dedication. Thanks for it all, Mark! Side question, anywhere where the music for this episode is listed? I love some of the tracks you used.

This was great! I completely agree with your points here. I hope Nintendo will take what they learned and give us a new open-world Zelda with a more traditional dungeon experience. Looking forward to Boss Keys season 2.

I don't think I'll be able to avoid analysing them after all this, so I might as well make a video!

Awesome series ! How do you plan handle the next Zelda game ? I wouldn't be surprise that it may come quicker than BotW, as Nintendo can reuse the same game engine.

Great work Mark! Very interesting that BotW seemingly gave you exactly what you wanted, real time puzzle boxes. However, over the course of these dungeon videos you appreciated more than just the gameplay. You started thinking about art design, enemy encounters, and the emotional journey of the player. I think the reason BotW's Devine Beasts fell a bit flat for me where the reasons you mentioned (same art/music/boss). Variety would have been nice. The best Zelda games have all types of dungeons (Lock and Key, Puzzle, Gauntlet). Once again, great work!

Great series - sad to see it come to an end! Haven't watched this video though, because I haven't played the second DLC yet - a spoiler warning would have been nice, since the DLC was still so new! Looking forward to watching this one when I've finished the DLC :)

Thanks Mark, as many said this was the original hook that got me to become a Patron for this channel. Looking forward to Season 2, and your other content!

Write a text book! Do it! I have so many students who would dig a book on Zelda dungeon design. Maybe partner up with a developer who can add a little more the "practical application" aspect.

Thank you Mark! This was the series where I discovered your channel, and I adored the in depth look. I dabbled around with your other stuff while I waited for new episodes to go up, and next thing you know I'm a patreon, helping you to continue this awesome work. Thanks!
