I like how nuanced the conflict is - can totally understand where both bois are coming from and that helps make it feel real! I hope they work it out and get through it. With time and perseverance, I know they can <3

2023-01-19 22:30:15 +0000 UTCI feel like Basil just needs someone to support him through this. He believes he needs a trainer and if he trusts them already then his chances of success increase. Any other trainer would be a toss of the dice as to whether they'd support him or even care about him. So in this instance, yeah, Abe's probably his best shot. Still alot to unload on the guy, and there's other ways this could go wrong, but it makes sense that Basil would ask Abe first before taking a chance with a random trainer.
