Project Mantra is a fantasy visual novel project I've been daydreaming about for the last year. I've decided in the wake of the current state of things here in the USA to begin production on it as I feel this story could be relevant. This will be on top of Spotting Basil.

The project is about a human named Sev who transformed himself into an anthropomorphic elephant using magic. Elephants have always been Sev's favorite animal and in this form he feels like his true self. Sev is an ethical hedonist and pacifist. He loves his body, loves sex and food and (for better or worse,) refuses to do harm to any living thing. In this world, incarnates (anthros) are despised by normal humans, considering incarnates to be elitist mages. Sev is quite useless at spell casting, mainly focusing his talents to sex magic.

Oh his way to his homeland he runs into another incarnate who is part binturong named Rudra. Rudra is an older father-figure in search of a cure to being an incarnate. The two quest in order to find a way to change Rudra back into a human while the rest of the population starts targeting people like them.

The visual novel will be very 18+ and will be pansexual in nature (choices between love making with men or otherwise). I plan to set it apart from other visual novels in the space by minimizing descriptors and emphasizing dialogue and sound design to fill in those gaps. I want this project to be fully voice acted.

A demo should be out Q1 of 2025 which will include the first of an estimated sixteen chapters and the entire project should be done in two years. Early updates will be released exclusively for silver tier and up on patreon.
