EOS Iridescents Palette + Mini Recolor Dump

*Jan 7th, 2021: Updated with more resources. Read what’s new .:here:.

In tune with a stream of names from ancient myth, this palette is called EOS like the Greek goddess of Dawn. The names of the colors are in latin to be fancy. Many thanks to @infiniteraptor for helping out during development and testing! ♡ He also had the idea of trying these colors on the Ciara Dress and we were impressed!

Pictures are taken in cas with @luumia’s .:ᑎEᑌTᖇᗩᒪ ᔕᑭOTᒪIGᕼT:. They haven’t been edited in any way, this is exactly what you get if you run the color actions on the base texture shown.

❈ IᗰᑭOᖇTᗩᑎT ᑎOTIᑕE: due to their nature, colors will look different depending on the bightness of your base texture. There might be textures on which they look good, but there might also be others on which they look bad. It’s perfectly alright to pick and choose the swatches you want to keep for your projects. These colors bear best results on clothes with folds and good contrast.

My .:ᔕEᒪEᑎE ᗪᖇEᔕᔕ:. has also been updated to include the new swatches. The orange-green halloween-ish swatch is exclusive to that dress. Everything else is available for download.

What’s inside

Let’s now get into the details of how to use these resources.

Sims4Studio palette

One is more descriptive (with 3 colors, doesn’t really apply to hair or  eyes) and one is more versatile (1 color, works for everything).
Extract  the .s4spalette file and put it into the path Documents > Sims 4  Studio > Palettes. Open the project you want to use the palette for  in Sims4Studio and select Tools > Color Palette. Choose “oydis EOS  Iridescents” from the menu on the left and click “Apply Palette to  Package”.

Photoshop actions

Contains all 16 single-color actions, with adjustable gradient maps to  suit your project. I personally recommend tweaking the base texture  (brightness / shadows / contrast) with an active gradient on top (I feel  like #6 is the most tricky so usually choose this one). Once you get to  a point where you’re happy with the result, you can delete the gradient  and use your edited base texture for all other colors too.

Photoshop gradients

They work just like the actions  but you should create a gradient map first, then you can edit it and  select a gradient from the list.

Hope you find some use for it, knock yourself out :)

Recolors are ADDONS, you need the mesh:
