Development Update - 006


Okay, I'm going to skip the poorly made intro for you guys just this once for the sake of explaining something. It seems to me that having two Dev Updates a week was actually a pretty poor idea. My Wednesday posts get 4 days prior to posting date, while my Saturday posts get 3 days.

One day actually makes a big difference. Friday was a pretty unproductive day for me because I woke up just feeling awful. I'm talking dizzy, headache, and just wanting to sleep the rest of the day away. There were also multiple errands I had to take care of, so honestly that day was just a major pain in the ass. Wasted day in my opinion.

While I'm still going to do Development Updates, I'm thinking it might be better just to have them once a week. It really doesn't look like anybody actually comments on them anyway, which kinda makes me feel like I'm doing them for nothing. Then again, we only have two patrons as of today. Not complaining, just pointing out facts.

After two weeks go by, I think I'll start making these updates public. That way more people can be drawn to the project and patrons will still get priority. That is at least the hope.

Oh yea, I submitted my art to The-Killer-WC's Unit Wolf contest. If we win, cool. If we don't, cool. Regardless, I'll make sure you guys get the single character colored commission whether I have to win one or buy one.

Concepts

Given the short amount of time that I had for this one (I drew the contest picture on Wednesday and had Friday completely wasted thanks to the universe), I spent Thursday talking to someone on Discord who was giving me plenty of ideas for the game. You can visit his DeviantArt here. Anyways, lots of pervy things came to mind like:

I'm thinking that during this event, she could also be dressed similar to how The-Killer-WC depicted her in the first page of his Kung Fu Wedgies comic.

We had plenty of other ideas, but the chat log is pretty long and I probably wouldn't be able to finish this post before 12AM if I tried to write them all down. Regardless, the concept game this update was pretty strong.

Coding

Ugh... to be honest, it actually hurts me to use excuses. All I did in coding was add a handful of dialogue. Nothing involving choices, literally just dialogue between Tigress and the player after he wakes up. And on top of that, I'm probably going to revise it later to make it more fluent...

It's moments like this where I wish I could stop time and just work. But a severe limitation to that would be that electricity wouldn't flow, meaning I couldn't do anything on a computer, so there goes that idea. I'm not the kind of person to think about "what ifs" but I gotta admit, it sounds really good right about now.

Art

Okay, so if I haven't depressed you with the amount of coding, get ready for the amount of art I've got done.

Yup, just a day version of the player room. It was actually pretty hard to make since these are the actual screen used colors and I was having issues trying to figure out how the hell to implement green in the floor.

I do need to make a close up version that is lightly blurred, that way I can overlay the close up Tigress I made, but I could probably do that in about 10 minutes. Also, I've been doing a little bit of work on those panty designs. Nothing presentable yet, but the Renamon panties WILL be a thing. Mahahaha.

Miscellaneous

You know, even though this was a fairly barren post, I do like the idea of including pictures that aren't necessarily related to the project, simply to add more color and interest

Also, how about I include a picture at the end of every post like Akabur does? It'll be something inspirational to the project so that you know what direction I'm going in.
