April's Previews! - Samurai and Special Forces Heavies Loyalty Rewards

Hopefully you're all getting to grips with the Modern Special Forces Heavies. We've seen some fantastic kitbashes and initial prints on our Discord, so swing by if you'd like some inspiration!

Now, without further ado, we are very pleased to present to you...

Samurai

A long time ago, staffer Cora had an entire range of Regiments parts under development to bring to our cast-in-resin range. The theme had to be put aside as we transitioned into a hybrid Digital/Physical miniatures strategy, but none of us at Anvil forgot about the Samurai that were tantalisingly close to being finished.

Proud and honour-bound warriors forged in the fires of the Sengoku Jidai period, the Samurai are peerless in their role on the battlefield as elite soldiers and shock troops. Highly disciplined and extensive training with the new flintlock teppo, alongside their long practiced mastery of the blade, makes the Samurai extremely dangerous to all foes they may face in combat.

Despite the advancement in technology the symbol of a Samurai's place of privilege and status stays the same - the twinned blades of Katana and Wakazashi. Ornate, stylised Menpo facemasks offer them protection, whilst striking fear into their opponents with a snarling grimace. You'll find you've got all the options you need to bring a dynamic fighting force to the table that can feature guns or swords in equal measure!

It wouldn't be Anvil without a little bit of sci-fi though, and you'll find alternate weapons of both the melee and ranged variety, as well as torsos and helmets that incorporate a little bit of dieselpunk flare, and even far-future phase weaponry too!

We hope these previews have you as immensely excited for this next release as we all are here in Anvil HQ. These samurai have been a long time coming - over 5 years in fact - and we couldn't be happier with how beautifully detailed all the modular parts are.

Special Forces Heavies Loyalty Reward

As a thank you for everyone that supports us in April we've made even more modular parts and an additional specialist for the SF Heavies. Staffers Adam and Dan have brought you a new set of arms wielding the KSG shotgun, and the tiny, but fearsome XM556 Microgun!
