As always enjoyed yet another episode of TNG! I loved the emotional depth and more character dev!
Enjoy! Hit me with your comments after!

An interesting episode dealing with death. Done quite heavy, not much nuance here. I did like the scenes with Wesley though. Often he is the boy wonder, but here we see some insight into what he deals with below the surface. I like the times where Beverly is being a mother to him. Makes them more relatable, cos more often they are in their perfect employee mode.

That is indeed a fun part of rewatching episodes you might not ever rewqtch on your own and finding you resonate more with them simply because you are older then when you watched it the first time and have more life experience. Luckily, on the other hand, I do still resonate with big action scenes as I did back then. So it's a win-win.

Folks who see me comment on other ST channels probably know what I'm gonna say but here goes: I definitely enjoy this one, and other character focused episodes, more the older I've gotten. If you'd asked me a few years ago I'd have said meh, it's ok, I'd prefer more action or sci-fi stuff etc But I absolutely enjoy these slower, more emotional, family/character episodes more now than I used to. And watching it through a first timers eyes definitely helps as well. Excited as always for the next one 🖖
