I try not to be too critical of art in anime (I do like an awful lot of older shows), but it makes you wonder how popular an anime with the same story that looked like that would be!? I don't THINK my enjoyment of episode 18 was hindered by the art, but maybe I would have felt even more strongly about the events if it looked like this?
