Just wanted to highlight some comments that I agree with: "Them having fought and defeated many demons also means they must have met many varieties to know better. Just from the few Tanjiro have met(compared to the Hashiras) We have actually seen a demon lady protecting humans. And the way Rui's mother was suffering and wanted to die to ease the suffering(which made Tanjiro give her a peaceful and painless death). You must already know that things are not always pure black/white. So there's no way to relate with how he treated Nezuko given that their master and 3 others have pleaded and even offered their lives on her behalf. Nothing excuses his behavior at all. It's one thing not to trust demons and it's another think to be a disrespectful freak!" ~ Kennith Chinedu "Yeah they've met a whole lot of evil demons, but did they never encounter the good ones? Tanjiro hasn't been a Demon slayer for very long and he's 1. already met Kibutsuji which not a single one of the Hashira's has managed to do, and 2.
