Their actual playing is also animated really well. It looks fairly realistic, like they are actually playing and not just pretending to, even to someone playing an instrument. Which is not a given even in a music anime tbh. (Since it does take some work to do)

They often change up the art style or choose really interesting or unconventional camera angles. It makes things really dynamic and interesting in an anime that is just slice of life anime girls playing music.

2024-04-25 03:59:40 +0000 UTCYeah I had forgotten some of the VAs and then I was looking up Marcille's VA recently and I was like "oh yeaaah!" and looked up the rest. Definitely some recognizable ones there, but they are good at doing other voices so its not easy to tell I think.

2024-04-25 02:40:05 +0000 UTCThe drunk bass player btw is drinking Onikoro, cheap boxed sake, drinking straw included with the box! 😝 She also a bit unusually plays her bass with a big plectrum/pick called bachi, which more commonly is used to play the traditional Japanese instrument shamisen. (Same instrument as Kubo plays in Kubo and the two strings if you know that movie)

2024-04-24 21:34:54 +0000 UTCI just like how supportive her band mates are of Bocchi, they just good wholesome people. Another anime like that is Shikimori is not just a cutie. All the main characters in the friend group have pretty different personalities, but they still are just hardcore there for each other in a wholesome way.
