A dilapidated but living temple located up a hill. They’ll tell you the climb is tough, but it’s not as tough as the local priest. Or possibly the spirit living here.
I had this idea to mix Minoan & Hindu architecture together. I felt the monolithic character of each complimented the other. I think this would be an interesting place to be weaving in & out of, or perhaps to be keeping interlopers out of; lots of little holes all over, lots of sturdy cover.
Scrubland: The default granite hillside, smattered with some dust & dry grass.
Jungle: A fern- and palm-filled forest surrounds the stupa.
Shore: A riverbank, the ocean, a lake? Perhaps it’s what the temple’s devoted to. A pair of boats are tied up at the waterline.
Shore (No boats): “Where’d our boats go??””
Polar: A cold, desolate, icy expanse surrounds the temple.
Desert: I hope you don’t hate sand. Because it’s coarse, and rough, and it’s gotten everywhere.
Day/Night Variants: Wherever applicable!
36”×54” wide/tall
