I don't think they tried to make us feel that something more was going to happen between the president and Hayasaka because the president doesn't show any feelings for her, zero. no danger there, he only has feelings for Kaguya and I feel for Hayasaka because she was practically born as a servant in Kaguya's family, wanting to experience a more normal life and meanwhile having to obey Kaguya in her machinations to do that the president confess and is wasting time on it. I get kind of disgusted with this situation of practically "slavery" of Hayasaka in Kaguya's family. Which is not similar with the other girl who likes her friend's boyfriend, she is not obliged to do what her friend wants to avoid confessing that she likes the guy.

Beelz have you ever been in a relationship or did you ever have romantic feelings for someone?! After everything i have read here, i can not understand how you do not consider such a situation as intimate. I can maybe understand how a peck on the lips might not be a big deal in some cultures...sure. But based on what Animaechan described here about the episode sounds a lot more severe. To spend more time and effort on someone else, that has interest in you, is probably the best way to hurt your partner. An if that person is not yet your partner it is a great way to break their heart and tell them without words who is more important to you. How is that not intimate? If my partner would spend a huge effort to learn a skill just to protect someones feelings that has romantic interest in her, i would think there is a serious problem in our relationship...or she is interested in him as well..

You know he has no romantic feelings towards hayasaka. But you might not be thinking about it from the perspective of “the other person”. Kaguya has no idea what is going on in Miyuki’s head. How could she? They barely talk (not including school/student council stuff). But here she sees the person she has a crush on, who (for two seasons) she’s been building a relationship with (in their own unique way lmao trying to get each other to confess) suddenly chat a lot to Hayasaka (who’s admitted to having feelings for Miyuki and also said something along the lines of making him fall for her? Or idk but something like that please correct me) and “invite her on a date” (I mean that’s what hayasaka told her) and then “convey his feelings” to her through rapping, which he worked really hard to learn especially for hayasaka. I mean, remember when Miyuki just for a moment thought about Ishigami and kaguya being intimate? He also got extremely jealous and didn’t like the idea of it. It’s ironic that he is oblivious to how his actions could look from the outside (to kaguya). But the show WANTS this conflict because it’s supposed to be more entertaining 🤷🏼♀️ and for most people it will be. But I already explained why I don’t like it haha so I will stop my essay here

2022-05-12 01:19:14 +0000 UTC(now I'm writing the essay, but i want to add one more thing) so in a culture where kissing someone hello is normal, I won't be able to explain to you why it would make me feel uncomfortable if my boyfriend kisses a girl hello (because in my culture that just isn't normal). We'll have to wait and see where the show goes with this plot point to discuss it any further I think. At this point, the most important thing (imo) to realise is that intimacy means different things to different people. I wouldn't be happy if Hanco was texting a girl (who has confessed to liking him) more than he texts me, and I wouldn't be happy if he was spending days on end doing his best to learn a difficult skill to be able to "convey his feelings to her" and make her feel good about herself. ESPECIALLY at 17 or 18 years old, that would make me feel insecure. ofc, Miyuki and Kaguya are not dating yet, but that only makes it "worse" because the likelihood of him being swooped away by Hayasaka is more likely (from Kaguya's perspective).

2022-05-12 01:00:06 +0000 UTC(I just read your thoughts on being "literally curious") in this case I would recommend just listening to what I said hahah I clearly explained what was intimate about their relationship for me ^^' And just take a look at: - what bothers Kaguya - what caused the misunderstandings with Chika - what things Hayasaka uses to tease Kaguya with (ask yourself, WHY is it possible for her to tease Kaguya with this? or WHY does this bother Kaguya? example answer: because, at least possibly in Japanese culture, this is the kind of intimacy Kaguya would like with Miyuki because she's in love with him, but at the moment she doesn't have that with him, but Hayasaka does, who also might be in love with Miyuki...) As I explained before, the show itself seems to be posing these kinds of questions (where do you draw the line at cheating? it encourages discussions about intimacy) so yeah I would say if you listened to my thoughts already I can't give you much more of an explanation about what is intimate for me if you just don't view it as intimate. Obv my opinions are based on real life experience too of being in relationships, seeing what works and what doesn't. So if you are from a country where things are just fundamentally different, no matter how much I talk about it you might not be able to understand :) it's like trying to explain what the color blue looks like to someone who has never seen blue? maybe hahahah

When they first did the episode that introduced the Chika confusion over Miyuki's, I felt it was going to be a one time joke or misunderstanding that was just built up in Kaguya and Chika's head. Now that multiple episodes seem to focus on Miyuki's ability to "convey his feelings", to Hayasaka, it feels to me now that Kaguya and Miyuki's budding romance is no longer a focus point but more so the focus is on if Kaguya can handle his ever evolving dynamic with her best friend/confidant. You had this opinion when episode 4 aired when you expressed your distaste for the clear problems this new development was going to introduce. I assumed it was going to be a simple joke, you predicted it was going to be a major plot point." he typed a lot more and if you're interested I will share that too (I asked him about this conversation and his thoughts bc I think that's another interesting perspective from someone who didn't see where I was coming from in E4 and then understood where I was coming from in this episode). But yeah, summarily I don't think my experience is so strange considering the characters actually involved seem to have a similar experience 🤷♀️

2022-05-12 00:32:08 +0000 UTCWell the thing is for the most part I never talk about romance and relationships and I don't pay attention to them either so I am pretty oblivious about how other people think about these topics, when I said it was curious I meant it in the most literal way lol, I didn't mean that it was debatable but just genuinely interesting because of how much it deviated from what I assumed, that's why it was curious for me

2022-05-12 00:28:16 +0000 UTCI mean I made it pretty clear in the video as well that I know Miyuki doesn't feel that way, but that's why the show has episodes like the one where they discussed "what is cheating" and where to draw the line. Clearly people draw the line at different places. If the relationship between Hayasaka and Miyuki isn't intimate to you, that's fine and your line of intimacy is just different than my line of intimacy. But it's not just about "miscommunication" that Chika and Kaguya are seeing something different than you. Which is (as I said) what makes it so easy for Hayasaka to take advantage and tease Kaguya about a "date" with Miyuki. Intimacy is different for everyone and I think that is kind of the point that the show is trying to make.

Obv as I said Miyuki probably doesn't feel that way/realise how it looks, but characters like Chika and Kaguya definitely are reading more into their relationship and Hayasaka herself is taking advantage of how it looks to poke fun at Kaguya (e.g. her saying she has a date with Miyuki). If the characters themselves are shown to "read" certain things in the relationship between Hayasaka and Miyuki, I don't see what is curious about me having the same experience ^^'

2022-05-11 23:57:47 +0000 UTCIt is curious that you feel that they are being too intimate, I have always been like that with my close friends so it doesn't really seem romantic in the slightest to me, matter of fact I thought the gag was that it was obvious that it was a friend thing (Like Kaguya helping Ishigami) and Fujiwara and Kaguya thought the opposite out of miscomunication. Then again in my country is pretty normal to be emotionally close with friends and I really have no interest in participating in romantic or sexual relationships so maybe my view of it is kinda warped, but I do think the whole thing felt pretty platonic
