I wasn't clear on when this movie actually plays out in (a different concept of the future that other sci-fi movies at the time apparently depicted, less idealistic I guess). But I heard the next movie will expand a bit on that, so no need to give me the information now xx I just thought it would be important to point that out for now.
On a different note, I have a short list of anime that made me cry, although a lot more made me tear up I guess. I can't believe after TROY and this, I might need to start a list of movies that almost made me throw up ^^'

this was a really fun watch lol I love this movie and almost all the movies in the franchise really so I'm glad you are going to continue at least with the next one... but I hope a lot of comedy movies sponsored after, you deserve it after being scared here 😂

2025-10-21 06:51:49 +0000 UTCI usually don't care about horror stuff, especially the "man puts a bag on his head and chases people with a knife" or the "invisible ghost throws stuff around in a haunted house" types. But the ones featuring otherworldly creatures can be good, and this (along with the 2nd movie and Predator) is one of the best of those. You're prior knowledge of the "chest boom" worked well here for the unknown extraterrestrial spaceship scene at the beginning, the "pilot" of it was obviously a member of an advanced civilization, and yet it still got killed by the alien, something people usually only get on a rewatch. Your reaction to the close ups of the facehugger creature was definetely some high quality entertainment aswell XD
