New Tier Structure and Other Changes

Thank you for the encouraging response to my first post after the hiatus.

Here are the new tiers for this Patron, which you can join as of now. Starting with my next post, the old tiers won't grant any access, and my art will be paywalled according to the new ones. The old tiers will be deleted in early September, after the next charge cycle.

These new tiers, plus the other changes I'll bring up below, are meant to keep this project fun, manageable, high-quality and consistent – for your benefit and mine.

The price changes are a due to a few different reasons. First, I'm trying to approach what seems to the common pricing in paywalled gainer content, without going overboard. I'm also shifting toward focusing on a smaller but more permanent community, instead of constantly trying to grow. And I have to keep up with Patreon and Paypal fees. Lastly, when it comes to the price of commissions, I'd rather do them extremely rarely, and feel justified to put tons of time and effort into them.

When it comes to content, a lot of what I did before was me "playing to please", so to speak. But from now on I'll focus on what I personally enjoy the most, both kink-wise and creatively. That means only doing black-and-white work (or monochrome, in any case, since I use colour pencils in my sketchbook), only doing traditional work on paper, not doing alternate versions without tattoos (which were only possible while working digitally), nor doing alternate furry versions (which falls under the same logic).

I've always appreciated my followers from the furry community, and I always worried that in order to enjoy my SSBHM/XWG work they potentially had to compromise on their preference for non-human characters. And so when a friend suggested digital furry alternates as a way to cater to them, I was happy to run with it. But beyond that more interpersonal satisfaction, neither the process nor the resulting product really do it for me, so I won't continue.

A similar thing happens with colouring, tat-free alternates and working digitally. Colours don't come naturally to me – choosing them often takes me too long, and even then I never really like the results. On the other hand, I find lots of over-the-top tattoos both extremely hot and super fun to draw, so I'll keep doing them – even though I won't be able to remove them for those of you who don't love them. And the reasons why I'll work only on paper – besides the fact that I have a scanner again – are that it's 200% more fun for me, I can turn off every gadget and focus, and I won't need to colour or do alternates anyway. And did I mention that it's, like, 500% more fun for me?

Colour and all sorts of alternates may return one day, if this Patreon grows past its previous peaks, to the point where I can afford to hire a collaborator. But since I'm focusing away from growth, and seeing how a lot of social media works against adult, fat-centric content, I think it's very unlikely.

Related to the gadget thing - I'm trying to be online a lot less, both for art and mental health in general. I'll keep responding to DMs and comments, but it'll be slower, and most posts will be automated (more than before, at least). I might also close the Discord server – even though it was crazy fun to stream and chat, and a sweet little community has developed (and even remained somewhat active during my hiatus), I can't tend to it like I hoped I would. If I decide to pull the plug, hopefully the people there can create and run a similar space, if they want to.

Finally, I'll post new content steadily, probably as often as I did this past year. I'll aim for weekly posts, but without setting it in stone and always prioritizing quality over speed. I do hope that paring down to the essentials will make it all smoother and maybe nudge me closer to a solid schedule, but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

I know this all sounds like a whole bunch of NOs bundled together, but I'm convinced it's for the best. Art that was truly enjoyable to create tends to be higher quality than the opposite – you can usually tell in the results.

As usual, thank you all for supporting the work of this anxious, inconsistent, overly-ambitious, perfectionistic pervert. I hope we can all stick around for a long time.

Comments

I think all the changes that exist make sense, do everything as you see fit, and of course quality is above speed!
