Added 2024-02-04 18:59:32 +0000 UTC
It's the SECRET edition of Version 0.18 - the first part of the Curse of Competition Updates! Check out these changes:
- Rival Enemy now has battle sprites
- A bunch of new options in the Purple Room during the Curse of Competition
- You can set the rival's starting size, how often competitions happen, how large the rewards for competitions are, and more
- There's a new competition mode where winning rewards you with fat and losing takes it away
- A new competition event - the food eating contest. Your hunger determines your chances of beating your rival
- The size of food order from the computer has been altered so that Large to Dumpster-size meals are bigger
- New Kobold Page Picture
- Berries cost a lot more but count as 'unlockables' meaning that whenever you start a new run you can choose to start with berries that you have unlocked. Note that if you buy berries in the Curse of Nothingness, they won't be unlocked in future runs.

Awesome, yeah I hope these changes make it so that everyone can be happy with how this mode works. If it's still not satisfying then it should be pretty easy for me to mess with the numbers and fix things, so if there are any issues let me know

2024-02-04 21:58:46 +0000 UTCI am so excited to play around with this version. I've been hoping for a proper fleshing out of the Competition mode for like forever, because size theft is my favorite thing ever, so the concept of getting to do it with a proper rival character was always something I thought would elevate this game to another level for me. Letting the player decide how the competition rewards are balanced is a very smart thing to do, because the issue I always had with the old version of the competition was that the stat changes became too big too fast, leading to the player either winning too easily, or getting blown up by the rival. Letting the player balance everything like this should allow them to tailor things to their liking, which I really appreciate.
