Weekly(?) musings and such, part 2~~

I'm almost at 150 chapters and I'm honestly kind of surprised with how well I've managed to keep up with the release schedule. I also feel like I'm moving the story at a decent pace, but that's one of those questions I'll always wonder--some people prefer their high-octane, non-stop action, and some prefer there to be some stretches of 'slice of life'. Trying to find the balance between the two is probably a fool's errand, but due to Lu Qi's nature as MC, I'm kind of forced into it.
I've also been pushing the long-ago-promised introduction of western fantasy elements further and further out, but I promise that it's on the horizon. I've dropped a couple of hints here and there as to 'what' it might be, but they're mostly just self-serving. Anyway, if you're still waiting for 'western fantasy', you won't have to wait for too long.
At the moment, I'm satisfied with the number of 'main' characters, and I probably won't expand them for a little while longer. I've yet to fully explore any of the characters in truly meaningful ways, mostly just offering glimpses into their psyche, so that's my first priority at the moment. I feel like introducing another mainstay one would be overcrowding the existing ones, though there will be occasional repeat guest-stars :)
Besides writing, I've also been working on my own game for the past 4~ months give or take. That's right, I'm making a game. Mostly for myself, to be honest, as it's been a childhood dream of mine for a while. The progress has been slow but relatively steady; voxel-lite horde survival game where a bunch of things die really fast. You can see a few glimpses of the project in the screenshots; it's still extremely early in development, but it's honestly been quite a lot of fun working at it every day for 2-3h, trying to figure out all the hang-ups that I could have never envisioned before starting.

Actually, I would probably enjoy that, but I would imagine that he will get stronger, considering every time he uses his ability to create a new technique, his contamination goes down.

Completely agree with you that there has to be a mix of slice of life and action, and that the field would get too overcrowded if we include more MCs. One question I had was whether our MC would always lag behind his disciples in terms of cultivation and power, and therefore always remain weak against enemies of the time, or if that might change in the future.
