Can be found in forests and grasslands. As Bulbasaur evolves, the bulb on its back develops into a sturdy bud. This bud draws energy from Ivysaur’s body and absorbs sunlight, steadily growing larger and heavier over time. The added weight prevents Ivysaur from standing on its hind legs, forcing its legs and trunk to grow thicker and stronger to support the strain. Sunlight not only fuels the plant’s growth but also enhances Ivysaur’s physical strength, making it a powerful battler when basking in the sun’s rays. When Ivysaur spends long hours lying in the sunlight, it is a clear sign that the bud is preparing to bloom. Just before blossoming, the bud gives off a distinct, sweet aroma, heralding its final evolution into Venusaur.

My Thoughts
My little green frog got bigger and heavier with a flower that's about to bloom. I can no longer carry it around so that's a bummer. Honestly I wouldn't mind stuffing my face in the bud just to smell it. I wonder just how sharp those leaves are? Is it strong enough to cut my arm? Do you think it's strong enough to carry me with those vines? These are the important questions. Apparently it can no longer stand on its back legs, so it makes me wonder if it can even jump. He was very useful against Lt. Surge considering he resisted Raichu's electric attacks. Less helpful against Erika but he helped in becoming a wall to heal the rest of the team mostly because they were asleep or poisoned.
