KU DXD Chapter 2 Lala

Warm mist still hung thick in the air, drifting lazily above the bathwater. The faint sound of dripping echoed softly off the tiled walls, the steam painting a dreamy haze over the room.

Issei stirred, a dull ache pulsing at the back of his skull. His body felt heavy, and his thoughts fogged as he blinked slowly back to consciousness. For a second, he wondered if he was still dreaming — the water was still warm, the air still smelled faintly of soap and citrus.

Then he heard it.

“Are you okay?” The voice was soft, sweet, and laced with concern.

His eyes fluttered open and the first thing he saw was a face — upside down, leaning close to his. A girl’s face.

Her large emerald eyes gleamed like polished gems, shimmering with worry and curiosity. Her long pink hair cascaded down around her shoulders, strands clinging to her wet skin, glowing faintly against the soft light. Her skin was flawless, pale and smooth, and her expression was one of genuine guilt.

But it was the next realization that froze Issei’s brain.

She was completely naked. Every drop of water on her body glimmered as it traced down soft curves and delicate lines. His gaze followed the movement before his brain even gave permission to.

“Wha—what… the hell…” Issei breathed out, his voice trembling. His mind scrambled to connect the dots. ‘Wait… I was in the bath… something pink fell on me… I touched something and… oh crap, that wasn’t a dream!’

He jolted upright, the sudden motion making the room spin for a moment. “I—uh—wha—why—who—?!” His words tangled together, his face turning beet red.

The girl blinked, tilting her head slightly. “Oh! You’re awake! I was so worried!” She said brightly, her tone full of relief. She scooted closer on her knees, completely oblivious to how every movement made the water ripple and reveal even more of her exposed form.

Issei’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief. His brain short-circuited. ‘No way. No freaking way. This can’t be real. There’s no way the heavens just blessed me with this scene!’ And that’s when it happened—his eyes welled up with tears.

“Ah… ahahaha…” His voice cracked, and then, to the girl’s utter confusion, Issei began to cry. Big, shimmering tears rolled down his cheeks. “I… I never thought this day would come! The gods finally heard me!”

The pink-haired girl blinked rapidly, unsure of what to do. “Huh? I-I’m sorry! Did I hurt you that badly!?”

She crawled closer again, cupping his face in her hands to check for bruises, her soft touch gentle against his skin. “Oh no, I didn’t mean to! I just—I don’t know I would teleport on top of you! I'm so sorry!”

Her scent was faintly floral, her skin warm against his. Issei’s heart thundered like a drum. ‘Don’t faint again, don’t faint again! You’re touching me! She’s touching me!’

He waved his hands quickly, trying to calm her — or maybe himself. “N-No, no, no, it’s fine! I’m fine! Totally fine! It’s not your fault, I’m just—uh—really, really happy to meet you!”

The girl blinked, her confusion deepening. “Happy to meet me?”

“Y-Yeah! I mean, uh, it’s not every day a… beautiful girl just… falls out of nowhere into your bath.” His voice cracked halfway through, his cheeks flaming red.

The girl tilted her head, a faint blush touching her own cheeks. “You think I’m beautiful?”

Issei swallowed, his heart skipping. “Uh… y-yeah! Definitely! Super beautiful! Like, out-of-this-world kind of beautiful!”

The girl’s eyes sparkled at that, a small smile blooming across her face, her earlier worry fading. “That’s so nice of you to say! You’re really sweet!”

Issei’s brain nearly melted on the spot. ‘Sweet!? She called me sweet!? Oh god, I’m gonna die happy!’

He forced a shaky laugh, trying to play it cool even though he was still sitting in a bathtub with a naked girl. “Heh… uh, thanks. But, um, maybe you should—uh—cover up or something before my mom walks in and kills me.”

“Cover up?” She blinked, looking down at herself for the first time. Her eyes widened in mild surprise, as if she had just now realized her state of undress. “Oh! Do humans wear clothes during bathing? How silly of me!”

“Eh?!” Issei’s voice cracked again, nearly echoing through the house. “Wait—what do you mean humans?! And who exactly are you? And how the hell did you get into my bathroom?”

The girl’s emerald eyes lit up instantly, her earlier worry replaced with bright excitement. “Oh! I forgot to introduce myself!” She pressed a hand to her chest, smiling wide enough to make Issei’s heart skip. “My name’s Lala! Lala Satalin Deviluke! I came here from the planet Deviluke!”

“Planet… what now?” Issei repeated dumbly, his brain stalling mid-sentence.

“Deviluke!” She chirped proudly, raising a finger. “It’s the capital planet of a far away galaxy! I’m from there!”

For a second, there was silence—just the faint hum of the water heater in the background.

Issei blinked once. Twice. Then his gaze drifted downward, past the smooth curve of her back, and froze when something behind her moved.

A sleek, black tail tipped with a heart-shaped end swayed lazily back and forth, glinting faintly in the light.

“…No way,” he whispered, his eyes widening. “Is that… is that a tail!?”

Lala blinked innocently, turning slightly as if to check. “Hm? Oh, that? Yup! Everyone from Deviluke has one!”

“YOU’RE REALLY AN ALIEN!?” Issei shouted, half rising out of the tub as water sloshed violently around him.

Lala flinched slightly at the volume, her hair bouncing. “Eh? Of course I am!” She said with a laugh, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. “Didn’t I say that?”

Issei gawked, completely dumbfounded. His mind felt like it had just been kicked into another dimension. ‘There’s a naked alien girl in my bathtub. A real alien with a tail and she’s smiling at me like this is totally normal.’

Lala tilted her head, her expression softening into concern again. “Are you okay? You look like you’re about to faint.”

“No, no, I’m good! I’m good!” Issei said quickly, waving his hands. “Just… give me a second to process the fact that extraterrestrial life is apparently hotter than I ever imagined.”

“Extraterrestrial?” She repeated, sounding out the word curiously. “Oh! You mean aliens! Yes, that’s me!”

Issei sighed, sinking back into the tub, rubbing his temples. “Right… aliens. Of course.”

After a moment, he peeked at her again, curiosity starting to overcome shock. “So… how did you even get here? Like, into my bathroom specifically? Did you just… teleport or something?”

At the question, Lala’s eyes lit up with pride. “Yup! I used one of my inventions—” She held up her left wrist, revealing a small metallic bracelet-like device gleaming under the bathroom light. The band looked futuristic, dotted with small glowing circuits. “This is the Pyon-Pyon Warp-kun!”

“Pyon-Pyon… Warp-kun?” Issei repeated slowly, trying to keep up.

Lala nodded enthusiastically, tapping the device. “It’s a personal teleportation system! It lets you warp a short distance instantly!”

“That sounds… kinda cool,” Issei admitted, blinking in awe. “So… what went wrong?”

“Oh!” she said brightly, as if the thought hadn’t occurred to her until now. “Well, I can’t actually specify the destination!”

“Wait—you can’t do what!?”

Lala giggled, the sound almost musical. “Yeah! But it works perfectly for escaping! You just push the button, and poof! You appear somewhere else! Anywhere else! Totally random!”

Issei’s jaw dropped. “So let me get this straight. You built a teleportation device that can send you literally anywhere… and it dropped you naked into my bathtub!?”

“Yup!” She said proudly, giving a cheerful thumbs-up.

Issei stared at her for a long moment, then let out an internal prayer. ‘Thank you Kami–sama for your first gift to me being an alien genius who crashes into my bath by accident.’ He leaned back against the tub’s edge, muttering under his breath, “And thank you, Warp-kun. Thank you for this divine miracle.”

“What was that?” Lala asked, leaning closer with a curious tilt of her head, her tail swaying lazily behind her.

“N-Nothing!” Issei yelped, cheeks flaring red again. “Just—uh—thinking about how amazing your invention is!”

Her eyes sparkled with joy. “Really? You think so?!”

“Y-Yeah! Definitely! It’s… revolutionary! Unbelievable! Life-changing!”

“Yay!” Lala clapped her hands together happily, beaming at him. “You’re so nice and cute!”

Issei slumped back in the water, hiding his burning face behind his hands. ‘Nice. Right. I’m being nice. Not perverted. Nope. Totally under control.’

He peeked through his fingers just once more, catching her smile and the flick of her tail. His lips curled into a small, disbelieving grin, until he remembered her saying that the device was perfect for escaping. “Hey why did you–?”

But before he could ask his question, the doorknob rattled faintly from the other side of the bathroom.

“Issei, I heard shouting! Are you okay? Who are you talking to in there?” His blood froze. Miki’s voice. His mother’s.

Issei turned pale, glancing between the door and the pink-haired girl still sitting blissfully naked in his tub. “Oh crap,” he whispered, his life flashing before his eyes. “I’m dead.”

The girl blinked in confusion, tilting her head again. “Dead? But you look fine to me!”

“Not for long!” Issei hissed, frantically looking around for a towel, a miracle, anything!

The girl smiled softly, still not understanding the panic. “You’re really funny!”

Issei pressed his hands to his temples, muttering to himself as the doorknob turned. “Oh no, oh no, oh no—”

His mother was just on the other side of the door. And barely a foot away from him, still very naked, was a pink-haired alien girl smiling at him with the innocence of a child and the body of a goddess.

Lala tilted her head curiously, her wet hair glinting under the bathroom light. “Is that your mother?” she asked sweetly.

Before Issei could even respond, the door slid open.

Miki Hyoudou stepped into view, still wearing her casual clothes, a towel slung over her shoulder from cleaning up after dinner. Her brown hair framed her face softly, her warm smile already forming on her lips as she began, “Issei, I—” And then she saw her son.

Steam drifted through the air. Water glistened across the tiled floor. Her son sat frozen in the tub, eyes wide like a deer in headlights… and beside him, a completely naked pink-haired girl waved happily.

For a solid three seconds, the world went completely still.

Issei and Miki just stared at each other, neither moving nor breathing.

Then Lala broke the silence, her tail flicking behind her as she gave a cheerful smile and waved. “Hello! It's nice to meet you!”

“…” Miki’s mind went blank. She blinked once. Then twice. Her lips twitched. “W–WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS!?”

“M-Mom! It’s not what it looks like—!”

“It looks like my son has a naked beautiful girl in the bath with him!” She yelled, her voice shooting through the entire house as she quickly left to grab her husband. “GOROU! GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW!”

“Wha—Miki! What’s wrong!?” Came Gorou Hyoudou’s voice from down the hall, still muffled.

“OUR SON BROUGHT A GIRL HOME AND SHE’S NAKED IN THE BATH WITH HIM!”

“HE DID WHAT!?” Gorou’s voice cracked somewhere between horror and pride. “Hold on, I’m coming!”

Issei groaned, pressing his palm to his forehead as he sank further into the water. “Of course this is how my night goes…”

Lala blinked, still confused by all the shouting. “Is something wrong?” She asked innocently, her bright green eyes darting toward the door. “Who was that lady? And who’s Gorou?”

“That,” Issei sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose, “was my mom. And the one shouting back is my dad. You, uh… made quite an impression.”

“Really?” She said with a smile, completely oblivious to the chaos. “That’s good! I always like making new friends!”

Issei gave her a long, tired look. “…Yeah. They’re definitely never gonna forget you.”

Deciding to salvage whatever shred of dignity he had left, he grabbed two towels from the nearby rack and tossed one to Lala, averting his eyes as best he could. “Here. Cover up before they start thinking I’m running some kind of illegal bathhouse.”

“Okay!” She said cheerfully, wrapping herself up without complaint. The towel barely covered her curves, but it was better than nothing.

Issei quickly stood and wrapped one around himself as well, muttering under his breath, “This is officially the most beautiful and stressful bath of my life.”

Once he was decent — or as decent as one could be in this situation — he glanced at Lala, who was now humming to herself as she admired the soft fabric of the towel.

“Hey, uh… Lala?”

“Mm?” She looked up, smiling again.

“Let’s go to my room. It’ll be… easier to talk there.”

Her eyes lit up instantly. “Sure!” she said brightly, not seeing a single issue. “Lead the way!”

‘Right,’ Issei thought grimly. ‘Because bringing the naked alien girl into my bedroom is going to make everything so much better.’

Still, he had no other choice. If his mom or dad burst in again, he was never going to live this down.

He cracked open the bathroom door and peeked into the hall. No sign of Miki or Gorou yet — just the faint sound of his parents’ muffled arguing downstairs. He let out a slow breath of relief.

“Alright,” He whispered. “Coast is clear. Follow me.”

Lala nodded and walked after him, her towel swishing as her tail flicked curiously from side to side. Her wide eyes took in everything — the framed family photos, the cozy hallway lighting, the faint scent of Miki’s cooking still lingering in the air.

“It’s so cute here,” She said softly. “Your planet’s homes are really small, though.”

“Yeah, well,” Issei muttered, keeping his voice down as he led her to his door, “welcome to Earth.”

He pushed the door open quietly, gesturing for her to step inside.

As she did, Lala spun slowly in a circle, admiring everything — his cluttered desk, the posters of naked women, the anime girl figurines on the shelf in different obscene positions. “Wow! It’s so cozy!”

“Cozy,” Issei repeated, sighing as he shut the door behind them. “That’s one way to put it.”

Then he leaned against the wall, staring at her in disbelief — the towel-wrapped alien girl standing in his bedroom, her tail swaying gently, a bright smile on her face like this was completely normal.

Lala tilted her head, smiling at him. “So! What did you want to talk about?”

Issei blinked. “Right. Yeah. Uh… let’s start with why you accidentally teleported into my bath before my mom interrupted us.”

Lala giggled, settling onto his bed like it was the most comfortable thing in the world. “Sure! I’ll explain everything!”

Issei sat on the edge of his bed, his towel clinging loosely to his waist, while Lala perched cross-legged on the other end, wrapped in hers like it was a fashionable accessory rather than her only covering. The air between them was thick with the faint scent of soap and steam that had followed them from the bathroom.

Lala’s cheerful energy softened into something much more serious as her emerald eyes, which moments ago had sparkled with carefree curiosity, now glimmered with unease.

Issei noticed the shift immediately. He straightened a bit, watching her carefully. “Hey… you okay?”

Lala hesitated for a moment, her fingers fidgeting with the glowing bracelet on her wrist — the same strange device that had brought her crashing into his life. “Yeah… I’m okay,” she said softly, though her tone betrayed her worry. “It’s just… I guess I should explain everything, huh?”

Issei leaned forward slightly, curiosity sharpening in his brown eyes. “Yeah, that’d help. I mean… naked alien girls don’t usually just fall into my bathtub, you know.”

Lala giggled, the sound faint but genuine. “Right. Sorry about that.”

Then her expression sobered again. She took a deep breath, her gaze drifting toward the window, where the moonlight spilled across the floor in pale silver.

“I was being chased,” she said quietly.

Issei blinked. “Chased?”

She nodded, her tail curling slightly behind her. “There were people after me. Soldiers, actually. From my home planet, Deviluke. I was on my ship, trying to get as far away from them as possible. They… wanted to take me back home.”

Her words trembled faintly at the end, and for the first time, Issei saw the faintest hint of fear in her eyes.

“I didn’t know where I was going,” She continued. “I just kept flying until I found this little blue planet in my database, Earth. It looked so peaceful and full of life. I thought maybe I could hide here for a while.”

Issei listened in silence, every word sinking in. The idea of anyone chasing this bubbly, kindhearted girl made his chest tighten.

“But even then…” she went on, lowering her head slightly. “They still found me. My ship was almost caught when I activated my Pyon-Pyon Warp-kun. I didn’t know where it would take me. I just pressed the button and… well…” She looked up, smiling sheepishly. “I ended up in your bath.”

Issei blinked, processing everything. And suddenly, the absurdity of her situation didn’t feel funny anymore.

“…Those bastards,” he muttered under his breath. His fists clenched at his sides. “Chasing someone who just wants to be free… that’s low.”

Lala’s eyes widened slightly. “Issei…”

He looked up, meeting her gaze with a seriousness she hadn’t seen before. His usual awkward smile was gone, replaced by something determined and with fiery.

“Listen,” he said firmly. “If they’re after you, then you can stay here. For as long as you want.”

Lala blinked, her lips parting slightly. “Stay… here?”

“Yeah,” Issei said without hesitation. “You can stay in this house with me. My parents might freak out, but they’ll get over it.” His voice softened just slightly, his expression unwavering. “And if those guys ever come back to take you… I’ll protect you.”

The words hung in the air, simple, honest, and unshakable.

Lala stared at him, her cheeks slowly flushing pink. Her heart fluttered in a way she hadn’t felt before, strange and new. She wasn’t used to anyone speaking to her like that. Not with such conviction, not without hesitation.

“Protect me…?” She repeated, her voice barely above a whisper.

Issei nodded, his face set. “Yeah. You’re my guest now, right? So it’s only fair.” Then, after a beat, he scratched the back of his head awkwardly, realizing how bold he sounded. “I mean, uh, not like I’m some hero or anything. But I’ll do what I can.”

Lala stared at him for another moment before a soft, shy smile bloomed on her face. Her tail swayed gently behind her, the heart-shaped tip flicking once.

“…Thank you,” She said softly, clutching her towel close to her chest. “You’re really kind, Issei.”

Hearing his name spoken like that sent a flutter through his chest. But then Lala tilted her head curiously. “By the way… I never got your name before.”

“Huh? Oh—uh…” Issei blinked, caught off guard, then quickly laughed at himself. “Right, yeah, I guess I forgot to introduce myself in all the… uh… chaos.” He rubbed the back of his neck, cheeks pink. “I’m Issei. Issei Hyoudou. Nice to meet you, Lala.”

Lala’s smile brightened, her earlier nerves melting away. “It’s nice to meet you too, Issei!” She said cheerfully, the warmth in her tone wrapping around his heart like sunlight.

Issei couldn’t help but grin back, his earlier tension fading. ‘Man… she’s something else. Who knew the universe’s first alien encounter would be this adorable.’

The tension in the room had finally begun to settle. Lala’s explanation, her smile, her innocent gratitude — it all lingered in the air like a fragile peace.

But then reality hit Issei like a lightning bolt. His parents.

At any moment, they were going to come storming into his room to interrogate him about the “naked girl in the bath,” and he was absolutely not ready for that round two.

“Crap,” Issei muttered, running a hand through his messy brown hair as he stood up. “We need clothes. Now. Before my mom bursts in and starts calling the neighbors.”

“Clothes?” Lala tilted her head, still sitting on the bed with the towel wrapped loosely around her body. “Oh! Right, humans wear those all the time, don’t they?”

Issei blinked at her. “…Yes. Yes, we do. Pretty much always.”

He spun toward his dresser, flinging open drawers with frantic energy. “Okay, let’s see… something that’ll fit… well, kinda fit…” He pulled out a few old shirts, a pair of shorts, and whatever else looked remotely decent.

“I’m really sorry,” He said, glancing over his shoulder, cheeks tinged pink. “They’re all gonna be way too big for you, but it’s better than… you know, walking around like that.”

“Hmm?” Lala looked down at herself, blinking in mild confusion before giggling softly. “You don’t have to apologize! I think it’s sweet that you’re worried.”

“Worried!?” Issei almost choked on air, whipping his head away. “I-I mean, of course I am! My parents are weird! If they see you like that, I’m done for!”

Lala hummed happily as she stood up, letting the towel fall away without a second thought.

“W-W-Wait! Not like that! Let me turn around first!”

“Why?” She asked, blinking innocently.

“Because—! Just—!” Issei covered his face with both hands and turned away, muttering something that sounded like a prayer to every god he could think of as he would have gladly continued to watch but it was clear to him just how innocent Lala was with the little interaction they had and he didn’t want to ruin it.

While he faced the wall, he could hear the soft rustling of fabric and the faint giggle that escaped her lips every now and then. The sound alone was almost too much for him. His imagination filled in the rest and that was a dangerous, dangerous thing.

‘Don’t think about it. Don’t think about it. Don’t—’

“Okay!” Lala’s voice broke his mental spiral. “All done!”

Issei cautiously turned around.

The sight hit him harder than any kendo stick ever could.

Lala stood there, beaming proudly, wearing one of his oversized red t-shirts that draped just past her thighs and a pair of boxers that looked more like short shorts on her. The shirt hung loose around her shoulders, one side slipping low enough to tease the curve of her collarbone. Her tail swayed lazily behind her, completing the bizarre yet strangely adorable picture.

“How do I look?” She asked with a bright smile, spinning slightly so the hem of the shirt fluttered around her legs.

Issei’s brain went completely blank. ‘Beautiful. Cute. Sexy. Adorable. All of the above. Holy crap.’

“I… uh…” He stammered, gripping the edge of his desk for balance. “Y-you look great. Like, perfect. Amazing. Fantastic. Super decent! Very decent!”

Lala giggled again, clasping her hands together. “Hehe, thank you, Issei! I really like them — they’re comfy, and they smell nice!”

“…Smells nice?” Issei repeated weakly, his face now redder than his t-shirt.

“Mm-hmm!” She said cheerfully. “It smells like you!”

‘Oh dear god, I’m not surviving tonight…’ He coughed into his hand, desperate to hold onto some composure. “Y-Yeah, uh… it’s nothing, really. Glad they fit.”

Lala smiled warmly. “Thank you for letting me wear your clothes, Issei.”

Hearing her say his name again gently, gratefully, hit him right in the chest. He gave her a lopsided grin. “Don’t worry about it. You can borrow them for now. I, uh, doubt I’m getting them back anytime soon anyway.”

Lala tilted her head, clearly not understanding why he said it like that, but smiled anyway.

And then the door to his room burst open.

“Issei Hyoudou!” Both of them froze.

Standing in the doorway were Miki and Gorou Hyoudou, faces full of parental intensity.

Miki’s hands were on her hips, her eyes wide and triumphant. “See!? I told you, Gorou! I wasn’t seeing things!”

Gorou, on the other hand, looked like he had just seen an angel descend from heaven and punch him in the soul. His jaw hung slightly open as his eyes took in Lala. The beautiful, pink-haired girl standing in his son’s clothes, smiling softly, her tail, which was ignored, swaying like a curious cat’s.

He blinked once. Twice. Then he turned to his wife, voice shaking. “Miki… our son actually did it…”

“He Did!” Miki snapped, her voice sharp as she pointed accusingly at Issei. “He brought a girl home! A beautiful one!”

Issei buried his face in his hands, groaning. “Oh, for the love of—Mom!”

Lala, meanwhile, waved innocently. “Hello again! Oh, so you’re Gorou! It’s nice to meet you!”

Miki blinked, stunned by how polite she sounded. “You… you’re polite too!?”

Gorou, meanwhile, leaned toward his son and whispered under his breath, “Issei… my boy… you’ve done well.”

“Dad, please stop talking before Mom kills both of us,” Issei muttered flatly, dragging his hand down his face.

Miki turned to her husband sharply. “What was that, Gorou!?

“Nothing, honey! Absolutely nothing!” Gorou said instantly, straightening up.

Lala looked between them all, completely oblivious to the tension, her smile never fading. “You all seem so lively! Your family’s really fun, Issei!”

Issei gave a deadpan look toward the heavens. “Fun… sure, let’s go with that.”

As the two parents continued to bicker and Lala stood cheerfully at his side, Issei could only sigh in resignation. The tension in the room hung thick in the air.

Miki had her arms crossed, glaring between her son and the pink-haired stranger who stood smiling beside him. Gorou rubbed the back of his head, still unsure if this was real or a dream born from watching too many late-night dramas.

Issei took a deep breath. He could feel the heat rising in his cheeks, but for once, it wasn’t embarrassment, it was resolve.

“Mom, Dad… there’s something really important I need to say.” His tone was steady and serious. That alone was enough to silence the argument that had been brewing between his parents.

Miki blinked, lowering her arms slightly. “Issei…?”

Even Gorou looked surprised. He had never seen his son look quite like that, eyes focused, shoulders squared, all the perversion drained from his face. Whatever this was, it wasn’t one of his usual excuses.

“What is it, son?” Gorou asked carefully.

Issei looked at Lala for a brief moment, then went back to his parents. “I want Lala to stay here. To live with us.”

The silence that followed could’ve swallowed the entire house.

Miki’s jaw dropped. “...Stay here? Live here?”

“W-Wait,” Gorou stammered, eyes flicking between the two. “Hold on, Issei, that’s… that’s kind of a big ask. Why does she need to stay here? What exactly happened, and what did you do?”

Lala blinked innocently at the question. “Do?” She echoed softly, tilting her head.

Issei sighed heavily, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, I know it sounds insane, but… there’s a reason.” He glanced toward Lala again, his tone softening. “And you guys deserve the truth.”

He gestured for Lala to sit, and the four of them gathered in the middle of his messy room. Issei inhaled deeply, mentally bracing himself. “Okay. So… first off, Lala’s not from around here. Like, really not from around here.”

Gorou frowned. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“She’s… an alien.”

Both parents stared at him blankly.

“...Come again?” Miki asked, her expression utterly flat.

“An alien,” Issei repeated, as serious as ever. “From space. From a planet called Deviluke. She, uh… kind of accidentally teleported into our bathtub earlier and that’s why both of us were naked.”

There was a beat of silence. Then another.

Miki pinched the bridge of her nose, muttering, “I knew you were watching too much anime…”

But before she could say more, Lala smiled brightly and lifted her tail. “It’s true!” she said cheerfully. “Look!”

The sleek black tail rose gracefully behind her, curling and swaying like a cat’s — the heart-shaped tip flicking in the air.

Miki and Gorou froze instantly.

The movement was too natural, too precise to be anything mechanical. The sound it made as it cut through the air was real.

“...That’s… not fake,” Miki whispered, eyes wide.

“Nope,” Gorou said faintly, his face pale. “Not fake at all.”

Lala giggled. “See? I told you! I came from Deviluke! But my teleportation bracelet sent me here randomly, right on top of Issei!”

“...On top of him?” Miki repeated slowly, narrowing her eyes at her son.

“Wait—No! Not like that!” Issei said quickly, waving his arms in panic. “It was an accident! She literally fell out of nowhere! One second I was relaxing, the next—bam!—pink-haired alien in my bath!”

Miki sighed heavily. “I swear, every sentence that comes out of your mouth sounds more ridiculous than the last…”

But then Issei’s tone shifted again, quiet but firm. “Look… I know it sounds crazy. But it’s real.”

His parents glanced at him and for once, his expression wasn’t embarrassed or goofy. It was sincere.

“Lala’s being chased,” He continued. “She said people from her planet are trying to take her back, kidnappers, or something worse. She barely escaped using that warp bracelet thing. If they find her again…” He clenched his fists slightly. “I can’t just let them take her.”

Miki and Gorou exchanged a long look. This was beyond anything they had expected when they walked into the room, it was like stepping into a science fiction film. And yet… there was something about their son’s eyes. That fierce protectiveness. That determination.

He meant every word.

“Issei…” Miki began softly, but stopped when she saw the way he looked at the girl beside him.

Lala sat quietly, her tail curled loosely around her legs, her usual smile dimmed but not gone. There was a vulnerable innocence in her expression, one that reminded Miki of a lost child looking for safety.

Finally, Gorou exhaled and ran a hand through his hair. “Miki, I don’t even know what to say.”

“I don’t either,” Miki admitted quietly. “This is… a lot.” She looked between the two of them again, at her son, who was trying so hard to be brave, and at the girl who continued to smile. Then she sighed. “But… I can tell when our idiot son’s lying. And he’s not.”

Issei blinked. “So… you believe me?”

Miki smiled faintly. “Against my better judgment, yes.”

Gorou nodded, scratching his cheek. “If she really needs a place to stay, then she can. Just… no funny business, got it?”

“Dad!” Issei groaned, face burning. “I’m serious!”

Lala blinked, confused. “Funny business? Is that a human thing?”

Miki turned red instantly. “D-Don’t ask that!”

Lala tilted her head innocently. “Oh… okay!”

Issei sighed in relief, the weight on his shoulders finally lifting. “Thanks, Mom. Dad. I promise, I’ll take care of everything. You won’t regret it.”

Lala, realizing what they had just agreed to, brightened like a sunrise. She jumped up with a smile so radiant it could melt hearts. “Thank you so much, Issei’s parents!”

Miki blinked, surprised by the sudden enthusiasm, while Gorou tried not to laugh at how polite she was.

Issei rubbed his neck, smiling awkwardly. “Heh… well, I guess that settles it.”

Miki looked at her son one more time, really looked at him and something in her expression softened. “You’ve grown up a bit, haven’t you, Issei?”

Issei blinked, caught off guard. “Huh?”

She smiled gently, shaking her head. “Never mind. Just… don’t let your heart get you in too much trouble.”

He gave a sheepish grin. “No promises.”

As his parents finally left the room, still murmuring about “aliens” and “galactic kidnappers,” Lala turned toward Issei, her smile warm and thankful.

“Issei…” She said softly. “Thank you. Really. You didn’t have to do all that for me.”

He shrugged, trying to hide his own blush. “Eh, don’t worry about it. I couldn’t just let someone like you wander around with creeps chasing you.”

Her tail swayed gently behind her as her blush deepened. “You’re really sweet, Issei.”

He looked away, scratching his cheek with a nervous laugh. “Heh… don’t mention it. Besides… what kind of guy would I be if I let a cute alien sleep on the streets?”

Lala giggled softly as she continued to sit cross-legged on Issei’s bed, happily swinging her legs while Issei leaned against his desk chair, finally exhaling.

“Well,” Issei said, rubbing the back of his neck, “I guess that’s that. My parents didn’t kick you out, the house isn’t on fire, and no one’s screaming anymore. That’s what I call a successful evening.”

Lala giggled, her tail flicking playfully behind her. “You really are funny, Issei! Humans get so dramatic about small things.”

“Small things?” Issei deadpanned. “You crash-landed naked in my bathtub.”

Lala’s only response was an innocent hum and a bright smile.

Issei sighed. ‘She’s impossible… but kind of cute when she smiles like that.’

He was about to suggest they get some rest when a sudden thud! shook the window. Glass rattled, and something small bounced off the sill and hit the ground outside with a metallic clunk!

Both of them froze.

“What the hell was that?” Issei muttered, standing up quickly.

Lala blinked, her tail going stiff. “That sounded like… metal?”

They exchanged a look, and then Issei rushed to the window. Carefully, he slid it open and peeked outside. The cool night air brushed his face as he leaned out.

The good news: the glass wasn’t broken. The weird news: something small and white lay sprawled on the lawn, twitching faintly.

“Uh… Lala?” Issei said slowly. “Did you drop a… toy or something?”

“What is it?” she asked, standing on her toes beside him.

They both looked down. Under the faint glow of the streetlight, a small, round robot lay half-embedded in the grass. Its body was sleek and almost entirely white, with stubby arms and tiny legs. Its head was circular with two thick, swirl-shaped black eyes that spun lazily, making a faint whirr-whirr sound. It had no mouth, no nose — just the faint hum of its internal machinery.

And then, to Issei’s astonishment, it groaned.

“...Laaa... Lalaaaa…”

Issei blinked. “Did… did that thing just say your name?

Lala gasped, her eyes widening. “Peke!” She cried, leaning halfway out the window. “PEKE!!”

Issei nearly jumped at her sudden outburst. “W-Wait, you know that thing?!”

“Of course I do!” She said quickly, her face lighting up in joy. “That’s Peke, my all-costume robot!”

“Your what robot?” Issei echoed blankly.

“My All-costume!” She repeated enthusiastically, turning toward him as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. “Peke helps create and maintain all my clothing! I built her myself back on Deviluke! She acts as a module that forms my outfits and keeps them stable!”

Issei stared for a long moment, his brain struggling to process that information. “So… she’s like… your wardrobe?”

Lala beamed proudly. “Exactly!”

‘Of course’, Issei thought dryly. ‘Why wouldn’t the naked alien girl have a robot that makes her clothes? That totally explains everything.’

Still, he couldn’t help smiling at how excited Lala looked. “Well, looks like your little friend missed you,” he said, nodding toward the lawn.

Outside, the robot gave another weak whirr and wobbled its head. “La… Lala… found… you…”

Lala’s face softened, her tail flicking in relief. “Oh, Peke! You poor thing!”

Before Issei could say anything, the small robot suddenly buzzed to life. Its swirling eyes glowed as it steadied itself, floating shakily off the ground with a faint hum.

“Whoa—!” Issei stepped back from the window as Peke rose higher, spinning once before darting toward the open window.

“Careful! Don’t crash again!” He yelped, ducking as the little robot zipped inside.

Peke steadied itself mid-air, its tiny arms twitching before it shot straight toward Lala. “La-laaaa!”

Lala laughed, opening her arms wide. “Peke!”

The two collided gently, Lala catching the small machine against her chest like a child hugging a stuffed toy. The robot’s eyes blinked rapidly as its sensors recalibrated. “Found… mistress… safe.”

Issei watched the scene unfold, rubbing the back of his neck with a crooked grin. “Well… that’s actually kinda cute.”

Lala hugged Peke tighter, her eyes glistening with affection. “I was so worried about you! I thought I’d lost you when I warped away!”

Peke buzzed softly, its eyes forming tiny heart-shaped patterns. “Peke… happy… to see… mistress again.”

Lala smiled warmly. “Thank you, Peke.”

Issei leaned against the wall, arms crossed, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. ‘Okay, I don’t understand half of what’s going on… but at least she’s smiling again.’

After a moment, Lala looked over at him, her expression bright. “Issei! Look! Peke’s okay!”

“Yeah, I see that,” He said with a chuckle. “Guess your luck’s finally turning around, huh?”

“Mhm!” Lala nodded vigorously. “Now that Peke’s here, I can finally make some proper clothes! I don’t have to wear your pajamas forever!”

“Wait—no, hold on, you can keep the pajamas!” Issei blurted before realizing what he said. His face flushed crimson. “I mean—uh—just in case!”

Lala tilted her head, blinking innocently. “You’re so thoughtful, Issei!”

He sighed, sinking onto the edge of the bed. “Yeah… thoughtful. That’s me.”

Peke floated in lazy circles around the room, scanning everything curiously — the posters, the ceiling light, even Issei’s pile of laundry. Its sensors beeped faintly, then turned back to Lala. “Mistress. Who is that funny looking boy?”

Lala laughed. “ Peke! This is Issei! And we are in his room, and it is the perfect way to hide!”

Issei looked around at the chaos of discarded clothes and magazines and thought grimly. ‘I don’t think ‘perfect’ is the word you’re looking for…’

Still, as he watched the alien girl and her tiny robot friend reunited in his room — laughing and glowing in the warm lamplight — Issei couldn’t help but smile.

The tiny robot spun once in the air, her swirl-shaped eyes blinking. “Mistress… what is the next step?”

Lala tapped her chin thoughtfully, her expression unusually serious for someone still wearing an oversized t-shirt and boxers. “We’re going to stay here for now,” She said confidently, her emerald eyes glinting. “I’ll stay with Issei until things calm down.”

Peke bobbed up and down in acknowledgment. “Understood. Mission: remain undetected.”

“Exactly!” Lala said with a satisfied nod.

Issei, who’d been sitting at his desk trying to process everything, gave a weak chuckle. “Hide here, huh? Well, you picked the right place. No one ever looks for anything in my boring life.” He was about to add something else when the air in the room shifted.

It happened so fast that he barely registered it, a faint hum, like static electricity, followed by a blur of motion. The window rattled open with a metallic clang! and before Issei could even turn, two tall figures appeared inside his bedroom as if they’d stepped out of thin air.

“What the—!?” Issei shot to his feet, heart pounding.

The intruders were both men, clad in sleek black suits that contrasted sharply with their pale skin. They moved with uncanny precision. But what truly caught Issei’s attention were the tails. Each man had a black, heart-tipped tail swaying behind him, identical to Lala’s.

“Devilukeans…” Lala muttered under her breath, her cheerful expression vanishing in an instant.

The taller of the two men adjusted his tie before speaking in a calm, authoritative tone. “We’ve found you, Princess Lala. You gave us quite the chase.”

Issei blinked, his head spinning. “Princess!?”

The second man stepped forward, his voice colder. “Orders are to restrict her movements and secure her for transport. Tie her up until we’re ready to leave this planet.”

“Excuse me!?” Issei shouted. “You can’t just barge in here and—!”

But his words died as one of the men raised a hand toward him, and a faint glow pulsed at his wrist, some kind of energy restraint forming in midair as it stopped Issei’s movement.

Lala’s tail flicked sharply, her eyes narrowing. “Oh, come on!” she snapped. “You guys never give up!”

The man in the suit tilted his head slightly. “You shouldn’t have run, Princess. This would have been easier for everyone.”

Lala stomped her foot, pointing at Peke with exasperation. “Peke! I told you to check for people following you when you came back!”

The little robot froze midair, eyes flickering nervously. “I’m sorry, Mistress. Peke detected no trace. They must have been… cloaked.”

Lala’s cheeks puffed up as she groaned. “Ugh! You totally ruined my cover! How am I supposed to hide on Earth if they keep finding me!?”

“Um, maybe we could talk about this after we deal with the guys in suits!?” Issei barked, waving his arms.

Lala huffed, folding her arms. “Fine, fine! Peke, what’s the plan now!?”

“Recommend using Warp-kun for escape,” Peke answered quickly.

Lala shook her head fiercely. “I can’t! The Pyon-Pyon Warp-kun needs a full day to recharge before I can use it again!”

The two men exchanged glances, their tails twitching in eerie synchronization.

“Resistance is futile, Princess,” Said the taller one. “Please come quietly. We’d rather not damage the local structure or your new… acquaintance.”

Issei’s blood boiled. He stepped forward, fists clenched. “Hey! You can’t just threaten her! This is my room, my house, and my planet!”

Both men turned to look at him as if seeing him for the first time. The one on the right raised an eyebrow. “And who exactly are you supposed to be?”

“Me?” Issei swallowed hard, his heart racing. Then he squared his shoulders. “I’m the guy who’s gonna make sure you don’t take her anywhere.”

Lala’s eyes widened. “Issei…”

For a brief moment, the tension thickened — the faint hum of alien tech vibrating through the air. The intruders’ glowing restraints shimmered, the room’s shadows trembling with energy.

Issei’s mind screamed. ‘What the hell are you doing!?’ Issei tried everything but his body didn’t move. But he couldn’t back down. Not when Lala was looking at him like that, like she actually believed in him.

The taller man sighed, adjusting his cufflinks. “A human defending the Princess… how quaint.”

Lala glared at them, stepping forward. “Don’t you dare talk to him like that! Issei’s special to me!” Lala wasn’t backing down either.

Issei glanced at her and thought. ‘What did I just get myself into?’

Done, tell me what you think and if I made any mistakes. Hopefully it turned out all right and every person is in character. This commission was brought to you by Galaxy Shard Star, so make sure to thank him.

Poor Issei, at least he met a cute alien before he got beaten up.

Nice chapter and can’t wait to get past the beginning. Does the supernatural know of the aliens and also the opposite?
