Story Reward - The Elven Maid!

Okay, so first: Sorry it's technically a little after midnight. I'd intended to get this up earlier, but work ran much longer than normal (by a good hour and a half) which screwed that up. Anyway, it's only a tiny bit later than I said in my quick note...

Second! I'll stop being mysterious. Please Read This Before Reading the Story. Jaylee and I decided to go in a somewhat different direction with this than with the various short stories. Given that there are already two short stories series, and combining that with the more complex background setting that comes with The Elven Maid idea, we decided to embark on an actual novel. You know, an 80-120k word story with an actual plot rather than just a bunch of sex.

More than that, the plan is to allow the $5+ Patrons here to determine the flow of the novel, something like a choose your own adventure story. If the story is voted for as the $5 reward in a given month, a second poll will go up allowing the patrons to choose from several options that the protagonist can pursue. The first such choice should be obvious to you, as you reach the end of these first chapters.

So, what voting for this story to continue would mean, would be supporting the writing of a full-length, detailed, erotic fantasy novel (both Jaylee and I are published novelists in our own right. No, don't ask for the other pen names we use please. We don't tell you. We keep them separated from our erotic work for good reasons). Almost a worthwhile Patreon in it's own right....

Of course, there IS a obvious downside. Being a proper erotic novel, with actual plot, means that it isn't wall-to-wall sex like the short stories tend to be. Indeed, I'm half afraid no one will like these first few chapters...because there is very little sexy-stuff at all. We wanted to work in a bit, but were stumped by knowing where we wanted to put the first audience-choice point at. It's early enough in events, and critical enough in giving the book focus, that we couldn't figure out how to shoehorn something steamy in before the first choice. Sorry! Hopefully, everyone will still enjoy it and the idea of what it could/will become!
