Hi,

I've been very sick since Thursday, as some of you may know, and I'm still in a bad state, with an intermittent fever. I went to the hospital yesterday and the exams so far are indicating dengue fever.

I was petrified when I got this news because this is the "common" disease I've always feared the most. It tends to lower our blood platelets, and mine are already naturally low, which means I risk hemorrhage that could turn deadly. Yesterday's exam showed my blood platelets were already lower than the usual low level I tend to have.

I'm going back again to the hospital tomorrow to take the same exams again and see how things are going. If they're bad, I may have to stay in the hospital for a few days. I wasn't so concerned before the diagnosis, but today my nose started bleeding slightly, which is a terrible sign, and I'm already terrified.

So... I'm writing this message just to let people know that if I'm absent for a few days, this is the reason. And if I'm not back until the end of the month, well, let's hope it won't be a definitive thing, if you know what I mean :(
