I'm pleased to present a high-resolution PSD file of Yumika's rhythmic gymnastics illustration that I posted on Pixiv on January 17. This illustration took a lot of effort to draw, so if you look at the internal data, you can see the difficulties...
I would like to talk a little about the relationship between Yumika and Rhythmic Gymnastics. It is a bit long, but I hope you will bear with me.
My original character, Yumika, is the world's best contortionist (a.k.a. a person who performs flexible body tricks. She is also known as an acrobat), but in addition to contortion, she is also well-versed in rhythmic gymnastics and other forms of gymnastics. When Yumika was three years old, she saw a rhythmic gymnastics competition on TV and was fascinated by it, so she joined a local rhythmic gymnastics club. However, her coach discovered her extraordinary flexibility and physical ability, and asked her to do contortion as well, which she did alongside rhythmic gymnastics. Her talent blossomed after she started contortion, and she was such a prodigy that she was able to master in a few days techniques that would normally take several months to master. As she became more and more absorbed in the world of contortion, she quit rhythmic gymnastics at the age of 4. In order to master contortion, she left Japan at a very young age and went through a series of training that was too demanding for him to complete. She was sometimes a member of a famous German circus troupe and a Chinese acrobatic troupe, where she mastered acrobatics and other circus-related skills in addition to contortion. Over time, at the age of 11, she won first place in almost all categories, not to mention contortion, in the world circus competitions, and became known as the best acrobat in the world, both in name and in reality. However, having reached the top, she had nothing more to aim for, and spent some time doing nothing. At that time, her parents told her, "There are many mountains in the world, and each mountain has a different peak. There is more than one summit." She changed her mind and decided to show them that she could be the best in the world in other places as well, and as part of that, she decided to start rhythmic gymnastics again. When she showed up at her old rhythmic gymnastics club for the first time in a while, the coach seemed to have been supporting her later success behind her back and welcomed her to the club. At the same time, she also became interested in gymnastics, ballet, pole dancing, and other sports, and she began to distinguish herself in all of them. In junior high school, the school had a gymnastics club but no rhythmic gymnastics club, so she was not particularly active in rhythmic gymnastics, but she was certainly developing her abilities. She was thinking about competing in the junior championships, but she was too busy with contortion performances and gymnastics competitions to compete in the rhythmic gymnastics competitions. When she became a high school student, members of the gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics clubs heard about her and surrounded her with members of both clubs. Because she was too busy with various things, she was only able to attend practice about twice a week, but her ability far surpassed that of the third-year captain from the first day she joined the club, making all the club members shudder. Then, in the summer of his first year of high school, she competed in her first national rhythmic gymnastics competition and captured third place in the individual all-around. This was a somewhat painful result for her, as she had been aiming for the top of the rhythmic gymnastics world, but it was a tremendous shock to the gymnastics association. Because not only did an unknown newcomer to the world of rhythmic gymnastics suddenly appear and take third place, she also won the individual all-around at the national gymnastics championships at the same time. This left Yumika's name in the history of rhythmic gymnastics and gymnastics. On the other hand, Yumika was not satisfied with the results of this competition and spent her days further improving her skills. In addition, she has recently been immersed in creating a completely new style of acrobatics by incorporating rhythmic gymnastics and other techniques into her contortion.
