A few non-spoilery explanations from the light novel that is the basis for the anime (Book 1 for the first 12 episodes, Book 2 for the other 12 episodes of Season 1): The aphrodisiac consisted of chocolate-covered dried fruits. Her "midnight snack" is simply bread soaked in the remaining chocolate. Don't worry about Maomao and Jinshi's age, it will be explained later.
