Moffat’s strengths have always been in single story episodes which are marvoulously told, in my opinion his arcs when he takes over never quite reach that standard but I still LOVE his standalone episodes during Russel’s era (:

It’s kind of a fourth wall break because the angels never move when you are looking at them because the angels are also aware that the audience is watching them

Steven Moffat, who wrote this episode, eventually becomes the show runner. In my opinion, the show gets better and better as it goes on. Looking forward to you getting to the latter seasons.
